I'm running Federal RSR's which aquaplane v early - debating taking my second set of P Zeros which would be better in the wet. How fast will we be getting there ? If moderate pace I'll probably be ok with the RSR's.

It looks like we will need some wet weather clothing.

And may be a canoe instead of 888s..

I keep everything available crossed for better weather for you guys, Ian. However, it's been horrible over here since last weekend. It started with VERY bad hailstorms in some regions all over Germany and now it's mostly VERY heavy rain. Every night another village is totally devastated and the poor people there find themselves having lost everything afterwards. 8 people died so far. It's moving around the country. It started over here and at the Ring last Saturday. Not sure if you saw the horrible pics of the 24 hours. :( However, they say it is going to get better the weekend. So I will keep everything crossed for you and hope you all stay safe. :ok: :) xxxx

nikkinokkinoo 02-06-2016 04:01 PM

Looks like I'll be taking a second set of wheels then - at this rate I will have to leave my hair dryer and ironing board. Gawd knows where I'm going to put the foot spa.......

I'm still holding out hope for some dry laps..... Friday afternoon looks dry, as well as large parts of Saturday (assuming the track dries quickly from the overnight rain thats meant to hit).

Hongkongfooi 02-06-2016 09:22 PM

have a great trip everyone....stay dry!:cath:

Steve_PPP 02-06-2016 09:48 PM

Some are home - others nearly so... Feel for Rob - calliper bolt snapped just after Autobahn so CJ and Dave did a temp fix and he's been running home with limited brakes!! Calliper had actually come off the bottom and was rubbing his alloy on the inside!

Myself, Steve_PPP, and Granby were also lucky not to be wiped out by a de-laminated Lorry tyre just outside Calais !

Was a bit of a heart in mouth moment :-o

Rob is nearly home now so thats good news :)

Rdlangy1 07-06-2016 07:59 PM

Yeah 10 miles out - good job by si and jo in the support car :ok:

Ginola 07-06-2016 08:01 PM

Just got in, wanted to say massive thanks to Big E for organising and also big thanks To Si for hanging back and looking after Robs crippled scoob, I hope you're both home now.

What a great trip! despite the weather forecasts there where plenty of dry laps for all with some moist and wet ones thrown in for good measure.

Also wanted to say another thank you to Ian (Big E) for taking Wanda round the ring (Nordschleife!) as she still refuses to go with me :(
