Funeral is in Newcastle Monday morn. So no real way of sorting it out. I've paid for the ferry & £250 on the room if anyone knows of anyone who fancys a fantastic trip there more than welcome.

worzel 21-05-2012 07:46 PM

Nige, as per our conversation earlier mate, I am pretty sure Jackie will understand and hold your prepayment until you go in October. Like we said, you might lose your deposit, but I'm pretty sure the rest will be fine.

I'm going to call her first thing and follow up on the prepayments and will have a chat with her, we will sort it!

Morning all, on the boat :D

Sea is lovely and calm. Really quiet on board, managed a fry up before we'd left dock and no queues for food at all. managed to join the truckers lounge WiFi without needing the password so thought I'd see the latest chat on here.

Got the new splitter and fog lamp covers on the car yesterday - huge thanks to Tangowayne for painting them, and the front of the car looks complete again.

Looking forward to sharing some beers with the rest of you on Friday evening! :chug:

worzel 22-05-2012 10:51 AM

You lucky buggers!

When we went early last year, the ferry was quiet, everything was just so much easier.

Have a great time matey :ok:

Skullfudge 22-05-2012 12:20 PM

Crowman 22-05-2012 02:29 PM

Yes mate. There will be pictures taken too :ok:

Steve_PPP 22-05-2012 04:35 PM

Well, that was interesting. Got within an hour of leuven and my mobile rang, was the hotel calling to let us know there was a problem with our room. Apparently last nights guest had been ill and yacked up all over the carpet! They apologised loads and felt a bit sorry for them as they were fully booked and had no spare rooms to move us too. Luckily the guys English was excellent so he phoned round and found us another hotel about 10mins away, slightly closer to the historic old part of town.

Stressful 30 mins not knowing where we'd end up, but all sorted now. Added bonus is this hotel has a private parking garage so the scoob is nicely tucked away, other hotel meant using the underground public car park down the road.

I need a beer now!

worzel 22-05-2012 04:38 PM

Blimey mate, that's not a good start. Think of it as the only problem you'll have and it's happy days :ok:

Get chugging you two!

:grin::grin:
