T1R's don't seem to work well on Newage cars, the sidewalls are too soft.

I've just fitted another set of Vredesteins to mine, they are a fantastc tyre. (IMO)

However, i fancy giving the Federal RSR's a go, have heard some great reviews on then

I didn't like them on the RA either... Made the back end very twitchy... So much so that I kept my R888's on all through the winter

I've been happy with my Toyo's but given the number of comments re. the soft sidewalls I think it may be time for a change, just a shame they're £100 cheaper than anything else!

If the Pirellis or Dmacks don't come off, I'm thinking of trying the Federals.

Decision made!

Sticking to the 225s for cost reasons, just ordered a set of the V12's from Camskill!

SpecB 04-04-2013 09:48 AM

And look what just arrived!

They were 'only' 380 delivered, not sure if I'll put them on before Goodwood, I'll have a good look at the current tyres over the weekend and work out if I can get away with leaving them on.

Scooby O'Neill 04-04-2013 03:22 PM

If u did change them will have enough time to run them in before track day just a thought

SpecB 04-04-2013 03:52 PM

That's why I want to try and stick to the current tyres, my only concern is they may not survive another track day! I might swap the fronts and rears over to give the shoulders a fighting chance!

Scooby O'Neill 04-04-2013 03:56 PM

Could u take all 4 tyres with u once u knackered them change them while down there to come home with just a idea

SpecB 04-04-2013 04:06 PM

It's only 20 mins home and I don't have the kit to swap tyres over, I only have one set of wheels. So I'll risk it!

Thats a good price, will be interested to see how they go. Quite a bit cheaper than the Vreds, they might be a bargain....

As above James,we are run Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta like on track or drag strip and they're been spotless,we are tried like T1R(we are hate them) or Falken FK452(those are not the best in wet/damp),but as above we are prefer Vredestein

Federal looking like good buy,but from review of some guys who run them, some like them and some don't,but still R888 seems working for us(although they're noisy tyres)
