I'll play Devils advocate on above, the wagon will be equally/more special if it was more standard and immaculate. The P1 is heavily modded already, just needs a few things to finish it off.

For me its a win, win moving a few bits over.

Both very nice cars and P1 must be lively with that power- Enjoy.

But i'm not sure the Prodrive brakes will be up to the job for a track like that with a 380bhp classic. Get a set of 360mm ksports on it, call it an early chrimbo present if you've used up all your birthday gifts! ;)

The p1 has hks gauges so should be fine for the trip.

Prodrive brakes are ok and might be slightly better than the upgraded standard ones that are there now.
I don't know how much you lot think I have but I can't afford £900 brakes:sadno:

Thanks rob that's what I was thinking as well. There is a lot of emotion tied up in this car due to its history I guess.

Anger 10-09-2013 08:24 PM

There your cars, do what you want with them..... your not breaking the wagon so can't see what the fuss is about

Lucky 10-09-2013 09:09 PM

How do you find the P1 to drive Tim. Does it feel much quicker than the wagon, or as quick as the blob?

Yep, there are a few cars on here that would get the same reaction, Scotts, Clives P1, and even your old blob. I guess its because we have all watched them evolve over the years and they have all been done properly.

Nice thing is you can now enjoy two cracking cars.

Hongkongfooi 15-09-2013 10:31 AM

changed the head unit and am going to check the state of the front speakers to see whether an upgrade is needed today.

Poor excuse for a Stereo in a Scoob. Certainly an area they have cut back on.
Even my 2007 STi sounded ****e.
The crappy cheap French pool cars we use at work (Peugeots) are a million times better, but then they have to provide some sort of entertainment that the driving experience can't provide.

Hongkongfooi 20-09-2013 08:44 PM

new speakers courtesy of alpine. had some lightweight dynamat left over from the blobeye days so popped a bit of that in

Some swarf on magnetic plug and sounded worn. I guess it's done 80k miles so fairs fair. I hadn't noticed any problems when driving either

Scott.T 07-10-2013 10:00 PM

Is that an Eibach ARB kit ?

I'm just in the process of having my diff repaired, it was making a grinding noise every so often, turns out it needs the input bearings replaced.

Lucky 08-10-2013 11:19 AM

NIce. Must see it at some Tim. All the meets have fallen at the wrong time for me at the moment.

Hongkongfooi 11-10-2013 04:30 PM

http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps587983ec.jpg

Steve_PPP 11-10-2013 08:06 PM

SamSTI 14-10-2013 08:30 PM

Looks a fair old whack Tim. Hope you get it sorted quickly and stress free.

Steve_PPP 14-10-2013 09:37 PM

That's a shame to see mate, but its good its just the front corner. When i heard you'd been sideswiped, i feared the worst door/rear quarter damage but looks like you avoided that.

Are the bumper/splitter salvageable with a bit of bodyshop tlc? Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle :)

jonnyricer5 14-10-2013 09:42 PM

Thats a bummer!how did it happen??

impreza27 15-10-2013 01:27 AM

Hope you get it all sorted out soon Tim poor P1.

Lucky 15-10-2013 11:31 AM

So annoying Tim. As Steve said, at least it wasn't a complete side. Hope it gets sorted mate.

bigemp 15-10-2013 01:34 PM

Ouch not good tim,i take it and hopefully its just the wing/side light/mirror that needs replacing as bumper/splitter dont look too bad and repairable and take it no damage to wheel/and anything suspension wise????.
Hope you get it sorted out quickly and can get back to enjoy it and get it round spa in the future.
