Its snowing heavier now I’m in London town

beaster 26-02-2018 04:00 PM

I really disappointed by BBC Weather forecast. Checked the web site on Friday and there was no snow predicted until this coming Friday. Monday, Tuesday supposed to be cold but sunny. Any way I'm going to take a trip to Leeds Royal Armouries Museum this Saturday. Nice test for a Foz. 400+ miles return. :drive:

Frenchie 27-02-2018 08:01 AM

Seeing lots of pictures of snow in Kent this morning on the local news.As usual lots of road closures due to accidents and trains not running.

Rdlangy1 27-02-2018 08:15 AM

More than us. Probably 1-2 inches in Burgess Hill, barely an inch at work in Crawley.

Still took the scoob to work just in case AWD was needed! :)

We've got loads of snow here in Borough Green! Got to go on a rescue mission soon to collect my wife from the station in Sevenoaks, since all the trains on our line are cancelled.

Frenchie 27-02-2018 10:26 PM

Red Baron 27-02-2018 11:10 PM

Drove from Hastings to Leicester today via M23/M25/M1, roads were dry from Reigate to J18 of the M1, brief white out and then clear again to J21 where I got to Leicester. The delivery mileage A Class is looking a little worse for wear, I'm sure it's fine under the layer of salt. Wonder what the journey back will be like tomorrow.

scotty 28-02-2018 01:19 PM

Hasnt stopped here its at ankle deep at the moment cant even see the big bonnet scoop 😊😊

Good luck with that mate...

Red Baron 28-02-2018 07:46 PM

It wasn't too bad, left Leicester at 1:30, M1 was shut southbound so cut across the M69 and A46 towards the M40, brief panic moment when I hit a blizzard on the A46 and dropped to a single lane 10mph Crawl, 10 minutes later I was on a dry M40 in lovely sunshine, couple more flurries on the M25 and straight down the A21, took about 4 hours with a fuel and coffee stop.

scotty 28-02-2018 08:06 PM

Things are getting interesting snowing , thunder and lightning all at the same time .

asperformance 01-03-2018 08:38 AM

roads are very quiet (thank god) so you can actually get around now..........

amazing amount of cars simply dumped at the side of the roads causing mayhem

same again today albeit there is more again than this

According to the BBC you are all stuck in 20 ft snow drifts, your homes are freezing as the gas has run out and your only hope is the British army!!

Steve_PPP 02-03-2018 09:33 AM

Errr..... no snow here anymore

Rdlangy1 02-03-2018 09:34 AM

Lots here still and more falling

Lol aĺl week my kids have been waking up expecting school to be closed everyday, have been in everyday including today. Had a slight dusting over this week, nothing more and heating works fine..

Total media hype with a few exceptions mainly in scotland who are used to it and made of tougher stuff and just get on with it.

Sour grapes as ive not had a snow day...... probably. 😁

boggissimo 02-03-2018 10:34 AM

It has been a bit of a lottery as to where the snow has fallen. We still have about 3 inches on the ground, although not much significant since Wednesday. One school in our village has been closed since Tuesday, the other open all week!

Give the forecasters a break, it's a tough job being accurate to the postcode level... The media though, they're a bunch of sensationalist numpties (nothing new there)!

scotty 02-03-2018 11:16 AM

Thought i would check how deep the snow was thismorning 😂😂😂😂

You'll need some bloody rubber on those wheels before you brave the snow, Scotty.

I very smugly overtook everyone one the A217 in the snow this evening. :)
