Looks great and is a real one off.
What's really weird is that i was reading about this very car somewhere within the last couple of weeks. Can't for the life of me remember where though. |
Amazed that the owner parted ways with the car as this is truly one of a kind.
Their loss is your gain though, nice one! |
SPECIAL!!
cant wait to blow it away on the ring. |

Martin, do you know Jackie at Prodrive ?
Agree with some aforementioned comments. I've been heavily involved on the P1 scene for 5 years now and Martin's white P1 has always been one of the most talked about and respected P1's on the planet. There are no others with a history that comes close. I've attended many events when Steve's P1 was there and so I have seen the attention it gets ........ so Mr Crowman I suggest you start learning from the wealth of literature that came with the car mate :-D as you can expect many to fire all the questions at you. A lot of us in the P1Woc are really glad it has gone to a good man. I've mentioned to many that Martin may look like something that lives in a ditch but he will cherish the P1 ;) |

Nice looking car Martyn glad you finally got one sorted, but.....
Apart from it being rare is it really a step forward from the other one? Looks like the old one without the graphics and you can't really do anything to it if you want to keep it rare. Only my opinion and not wishing to put a downer on your new purchase lol |

Delt with her several times on all my trips to Prodrive, shame I did't know of her when I applied for a Job in 1998....LOL.... |
Clive I have just virtually choked on my profiteroles very fookin funny mate.
A ditch, you git :-) I am a member of P1OC and will be posting my very first post very soon. I have feeling I will be on there rather alot in the future. I know very little about the P1 other than what I've read in last 2 weeks. Rich Very fair coments mate, looks wise, I have always hankered for a 3 door but honestly was not looking for one. The things I wanted from a new scoob was something different and as I'm getting more and more anal, I wanted something to clean and love like I did my classic. I do have to say I took it for some country lane fun and it's spot on, virtually no lag and sticks to road so well, it's on a par with my classic for handling, but much more refined. Love it. As already said thanks for all coments guys, positive, negative and general, all interesting to me. |
JRM have employed most of the X Prodrive team up North. You can still apply for a job mate. It would only help JRM/Sumo as the team they have at the mo is sh.t!!!
|
Sorry Clive/ Scott missed the bit about Jackie, I don't know her.
Previous owner Steve said she came up to him at the show on Sunday to say she was shocked to hear it was sold |

Martin, I was just sitting here thinking of when I first collected my P1 in Jan 2005 and bearing in mind it was on standard suspension, brakes and the only mods were the PPP and was running 310 BHp.
I've been lucky enough to have driven many Scoobs now and the P1 has a TOTALLY difference feel to all of them. In relation to handling the nearest to the P1 is the RA which is stiffer. The P1 set up is brilliant and your bottle will go before the car does. Like the SES the P1 Woc are a close bunch of good guys and tyres are always being compared in relation the suspension set up and the best tyre but a mile is the Hankook V12 Evo's. Awesome rubber ! Stick then on and you will have a car that frightens yer ! Then get it to nearly 600 Bhp and you will start 5hitting yourself :) |
Thanks Scott, Nice one.
Clive, I have alot to learn and will be driving people nuts on P1 Woc, you included mate  Would you say the 300bhp is a safety first type figure/map I would really like to be at 350/350 , that would satisfy me. 600bhp will need a promotion or a bit of luck on the lottery:ok: I am eager to find out everything about the P1, i am an impatient bugger The car is going to go in for some paintwork, as there are some small areas that need attention now, to ensure they dont get worse. Any recomendations for paint guy/company I dont mind paying top money if its right, which in this case it needs to be spot on. |

I have absoulully no hesitation in recommending DC. Coachworks. (Pondswood industrial estate Hastings/St Leonards) for any painting, they are not the cheapest, but they are the best. They work on classic and vintage motors worth often more than 6 figures, Come and see me on Saturday. |

SPR Coachworks at Hailsham mate.
I wouldn't use anyone else when it comes to paint. They use more lacquer than anyone I know and thats one reason the P1 is easy to keep looking nice. Lambo's, Bentleys, Main Porsche Dealers , GT40's, Mercs, Ferrari's you will see them all in their place and they are not expensive either. http://www.sprcoachworks.co.uk/ Ask for Darren or James. Tell them I mentioned you as a few of my previous mates have had deductions. I bought my P1 off James. |
Thanks for info guys.
Hailsham is very local to me and knowing how stunning cloves car looks I will be taking it there. Cheers Clive, good shout |
You know my thoughts on the car matey:five: :ok:
I can also run you home from Hailsham no problem:ok: Have to echo Martyn's thoughts about Steve (previous owner) was a great chap to meet and the bacon rolls and Tea were a great welcome on arrival too:nod: A top bloke:10: Just glad the car was what we expected it to be after leaving at silly o'clock to go look at it:nod: shame I was unable to pick it up with you:cry: Enjoy it mate, you have brought a very special car there:ok: the history files alone must be worth a tidy sum too:nod: |
come on treacle get some more pics up! or are you working away?
|
Cheers Ron, I owe you a bevy or two for sure.
|
So Martyn does this mean your be a proper car for the next tunnel run?
