Yep!

Just looked at the BBC weather page for Sevenoaks and sods law - no snow on Saturday but it returns on Sunday at midday

Will keep an eye on things but keep checking this thread folks - we might have to make a late call on yay or nay if its looking heavy.

Nige 19-01-2013 07:40 AM

Not able to make this now. I'm on nights again tonight. :drive:

555_Si 19-01-2013 07:55 AM

i will be there inmthe Scoob if it is still on.

Scooby_Greg 19-01-2013 08:51 AM

I will be popping in with the scoob too. Forecast is for snow from around midday, but only around 5cm

kartingsteve 19-01-2013 11:38 AM

Might be ok for this one as my Lisa's football match is off.

Thats the spirit.

Hongkongfooi 19-01-2013 08:52 PM

well we've had no further snow today eastbourne....assuming it doesn't drop any overnight we should be ok;-)

Scott.T 19-01-2013 09:09 PM

Drove over to Eastbourne and back and all was fine. Roads were even pretty dry.
Worst bit was getting to the main road from here. Will be nice and ice'y tomorrow morning, but shouldn't be a problem for AWD.

Nige 19-01-2013 09:18 PM

Ive been brought in tonight due to others who have fell fowl of the poo bug! If tonight isnt to bad work wise i might try to make it over. :drive:

That will be good..

Steve_PPP 19-01-2013 10:09 PM

No more snow in Mid-Sussex either, showing as due some tomorrow but its not meant to be more than 5cm at most - sure it'll be fine. Might be a bit slippy in places but its winter after all, just drive safely folks. If theres snow up there it might be a cool photo for next years calendar for December or something :)

No tables have been booked as i've been weather watching - but its a big pub and i'm sure they'll be room - especially as we're meeting from 12pm. See you all tomorrow.

Updated list as follows i think:

1. Steve & Claire (2 eating)
2. BIG"E" +1 (2 eating)
3. Hongkongfooi (1 eating)
4. SilverSurfer
5. Lucky ( 1 eating)
6. impreza27 (1 eating)
7. Simon & Jo (2 Eating)
8. Nige ( 1 Eating)
9. Majorscooby, beck & Liam ( 2 + little legs eating )
10. Greg (popping in)
11. Kartingsteve?

impreza27 19-01-2013 10:40 PM

sorry guys gonna pull out of this one now.

Scooby_Greg 20-01-2013 08:38 AM

Now forecasting upto 10cm of snow in South East during today. Have to wait and see as the forecasting so far hasn't been too accurate.

Hongkongfooi 20-01-2013 08:39 AM

Been snowing for last hour here

majorscooby 20-01-2013 08:44 AM

Same here in kent, coming down rather heavy now, do you think many will turn up today??

555_Si 20-01-2013 09:10 AM

snowing a small amount in horsham, i'll keep an eye n this thread as if still on i will be there.

Lucky 20-01-2013 09:14 AM

Its a nightmare here. Been snowing for a couple of hours. My road is back to tracks again. A real shame as i was looking forward to catching up with everyone .

Steve_PPP 20-01-2013 09:18 AM

Whats the general concensus then guys? I'll be getting there via M23/M25 so sure i won't have any problems, but then i'm not sure how the back roads will be.

Happy to still go but don't want people taking risks with their scoobs just for a pub lunch.

OK Steve, no problem. Sounds a lot worse over there than in Mid Sussex at the moment then....

Scott.T 20-01-2013 09:26 AM

Not looking good here and it could be twice as bad the other side of The Ridge which is quite common.
Don't fancy getting stuck in amongst a load of idiots so seriously thinking about pushing this meet on a week. What do u reckon ?

i could do next week. I think we would probably get there its just the thought of being stuck behind some idiot who cant drive in the snow or being hit by one that is putting me off:x

Lucky 20-01-2013 09:37 AM

Think it safer all round. The turnout isnt going to be a full one, and as steve said, main roads should be fine, but the back roads wont be. This lot has apparently come over from france so has hit here first but it is forecast to spread all day.

You dont have to follow me if you dont want to

Steve_PPP 20-01-2013 09:44 AM

Probably the safest bet to postpone it now Scott - yesterdays forecast didn't have snow arriving until midday today so that was clearly wrong. Now showing as going to get worse (snow until at least 3pm). Sure most folks could make it fine, but as you say, its all the other plebs out on the road you can't trust. Lets call it now.

Meet postponed until next weekend - Sunday 27th January, 12pm onwards.

Sorry guys.

555_Si 20-01-2013 09:45 AM

cool, good shout Steve, will see you all next weekend.

Lucky 20-01-2013 09:48 AM

Last night it had mostly disappeared. This is now

Scooby_Greg 20-01-2013 09:52 AM

Right I'm off sledging on the Ashdown Forest.... and maybe find a nice deserted car park for some fun (not of the dogging variety by the way)

majorscooby 20-01-2013 09:53 AM

Same as Steve, it was clear this morn and then this lot landed. I'm fine driving in it, it's the other idiots spinning their wheels up trying to get about.
