It runs fine until the turbo starts to spool then the whiplash and cough, splutter and no power :(
|
i had this same problem the other day on route to samsti, the whiplash happend low down power, i had a split rad hose at the time that was spraying coolent everywere! i did notice water near coilpacks also had a split in the intercooler hose that connecs to throttle body, when i gave it a rev it seem to clear itself and since changing rad and hoses + intercooler and hoses it has been perfectly fine touch wood!! also seemed to run lumpy after restarting when engine is hot

Nice looking car Adam hope the problem is easily sorted :ok:

Right well a tiny update, looks like the car has a water leak, from what me and my old man can see it looks like the bottom hose, so not overly impressed but once sorted out as well as this boost issue hopefully she'll serve me well.

any warranty as its so soon to picking it up? sounds like a boost hose leak to me as well |

Once the water leak is fixed then will get all the hoses checked and will take it to JGM and let Simon make sure the boost control system is doing its job properly. Not really something you wanna do after just buying a vechile but I don't wanna just give up on it. |

Happy times!
Big big props to Stuart from ESMS he took my car away this morning to do an oil change, cambelt and water pump (sorting out the leak at the same time), and also sorted my boosting issue all in one day, the boosting problem turned out to be that the intercooler had worked its way loose causing a small gap on the front silicone pipe, now all tightened up properly I have the car I purchased back. So I'm a very happy boy again:grin:.
Big thanks again to Stuart, really nice guy and certainly knows what he's on about:doubleup: |
Glad you got it sorted mate.
