I do like a bit of Flap moddage.......
I find they work better by warming them up with a good rub first.

Not a bad taxi too, the driver took me to Surrey Rolling Road and back the other day and didn't ask for a fare either! ;)

Thank you guys. I'm pleased with it. There are a few bits I'd like to get done but all in good time. Just enjoying driving again at the moment!!

Mmmm, looking at the date of that last post the 'all in good time' isn't very long. Here we go, down the slippery slope again..................

Dave, any old clap trap I came out with when I bought it about leaving this one along, forget!. I had fully intended to leave it standard but when sam pm'd about these bits the lure of 300+ was too great

Lucky 07-08-2014 08:43 PM

So, in my quest to make the car look more original, on went the badges. I know this is probably the opposite of what most do, but I kinda like it again.

BIG thanks to stevePPP and Tim (hongkongfooi) for finding their old badges and between them came up with the subaru lettering and WRX badges. Ordered the STI and Type UK from scoobyparts.

Thought I'd add a pic of the side after the dents removed. This side was pretty wobbly so well pleased.

Foz50 07-08-2014 08:46 PM

Looks good - must have been a pain lining up those letters!

Bytes 07-08-2014 08:52 PM

Very impressive sheen you have there, and yes, good job on getting the lettering straight :ok:

Lucky 07-08-2014 09:01 PM

Cheers chaps. Fortunately a very faint outline was still visible on the boot so it was just a case of following those. Unfortunately if I am being REALLY fussy Subaru didn't get them straight in the first place! But it's minuscule so not noticeable to the untrained eye!

Steve_PPP 07-08-2014 09:31 PM

Nice job mate :ok:

Now take them back off again, clean look wins

If you ever fancy selling the bootlid back to me, let me know. Don't worry about the hassle of taking the spoiler off though ;)

Lucky 15-08-2014 09:38 PM

Changed the plates over today. Feels like mine again now!!

Also spent some time with some heavyish compound and then touch in paint on the front bumper/valence. Starting to get there now. Replacement oem door stickers on too. Now just need a weekend to detail it properly and laquer the wheels.

Zunsport grill arrived today so fitted it in the garage after work. Really easy and good fit. Used the promotional code on scoobynet so got 25% discount making it £63 delivered!

Really finishes the front off nicely

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pszyauoiah.jpg

And one with the hid side lights.
