I'm doing an overnight long distance trial on Friday night-Saturday, getting back late Saturday evening...but would like to come up to Brands on Sunday if I can. I have a season pass so no worries about the tickets for me, and also my car is filthy and I won't have a chance to clean it before Sunday, so if I do get there, will probably park elsewhere! Whereabouts at the circuit will the club stand be?

Should have some nice rooster tails out on the GP circuit then. Walking boots will probably be a wise choice.

tbtstt 28-09-2017 02:50 PM

Definitely looks like it will be a boots and waterproofs kind of day!

Bummer, too late.

Let me know if anyone drops out and a spare ticket comes up.

I'll be going Saturday anyway, and probably Sunday.

Billy Monger track walk at 6pm Saturday if anyone is there.

If you meet us at the rendezvous point we may be able to blag/sneek you in.

Met Office are showing the heavy rain arriving earlier now, so we should get to dry off during the last race before the drive home!

As much as I don't want to get really wet, I am hoping we get rain at some point in the day as it's bound to make things interesting out on track.

Yep, the two sites I use for forecasting are showing the rain coming in over Saturday evening/early Sunday morning with only the occasional light shower on Sunday daytime. Looking better :)

A downpour on about lap 4 would be interesting.
We go for the racing of course !!!!

Simon-Sti 30-09-2017 12:02 PM

Hi everyone,

I deeply regret that due to ongoing family drama's that are currently unfolding I'm unable to make this event now neither.
Gutted is an understatement it seems this week has been a disaster!!

Hope you have a great time which I'm sure you will.

Some pics of the stand and day will go some way to cheering me up!

Very best
Simon.

Steve_PPP 30-09-2017 12:20 PM

Sorry to hear that.... all the best mate and we'll see you at the next one hopefully... :)

See u in the morning

tbtstt 30-09-2017 07:34 PM

Didn't bother cleaning the car today given the forecast tomorrow...

...just seen the latest forecast and it looks like the rain will pass over Brands before 7: might have to get a sponge out and clean it now!

555_Si 30-09-2017 09:17 PM

Just cleaned mine in the dark and rain, hmm, not sure how productive that was.

NL03Scooby 30-09-2017 09:34 PM

Mine got a good clean this morning, then went to Blue Bell hill for the meet, then the Isle of Sheppey to see Ryan, then came home in the rain, it’s pretty grimy again...

Ha, I have done the same and I'm not sure on how effective it was either!

Steve_PPP 30-09-2017 10:26 PM

Washed mine this afternoon and was just finishing when it started raining so chucked it back in the garage. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow :)

See you all at Wested Lane at 7:45am :drive:

Bigtel 30-09-2017 10:31 PM

Mines been to Brands and back today so not the cleanest.
Great Qually day, Roll on race day.

ScoobyStu 01-10-2017 12:54 PM

Hope you all have a great day, look forward to seeing the pics and videos

Scott.T 01-10-2017 08:22 PM

Just back.Car unloaded, banners away (possibly for the last time in 2017), car can sit on the drive tonight in an attempt to dry out.
Thanks all for coming, I hope you all enjoyed the day and thankfully the rain held off till the end.

NL03Scooby 01-10-2017 08:32 PM

Was a great day, I openly admit to knowing very little about BTCC, I think I will attempt to make a change to that from now on, certainly seems a far more interesting and competitive Motorsport.

Thanks for organising everything today Scott, was awesome being able to drive the Scoobs (and Clio and Mondeo...) right in to the circuit for such a big event.

Great seeing everyone today, hope all manage to dry out and warm up, saying that we were pretty fortunate with the weather and the forecast was fairly accurate.

BIG"E" 01-10-2017 08:56 PM

Cheers Scott brilliant day despite the weather..:five:

tbtstt 01-10-2017 09:41 PM

I'm pleased to finally make an SES meet this year! Many thanks for organizing Scott, much appreciated. Great day of racing, despite the weather and a good result for Subaru in the end!

Guess you all left at the end of the last race? I got back to my car and it was the only one left on the gravel!

Red Baron 01-10-2017 09:47 PM

Was a great day, would like to have seen a proper race for the championship in the last race but got the outcome we hoped for, really felt sorry for Turkington.
Thanks for organising Scott, cracking parking spot as well.

Ginola 01-10-2017 10:23 PM

Thanks all for a brilliant day out, and thanks for organising Scott, as the chequered flag fell everyone scarpered Steve!

Watched this on tv and really enjoyed it. Like NL03Scooby didn't know much about BTCC, but will watch out for it next year.

Bigtel 02-10-2017 08:40 AM

Good to catch up with everyone yesterday.
Great day, Well done for sorting it out Scott

Steve_PPP 02-10-2017 09:45 AM

Great day's racing. As above, felt sorry for Turkington as I'd have been cheering him on for the title win if he'd been up against anyone else (especially those pesky Hondas of Shedden/Neal!). But had to support Subaru really, Ash Sutton has had a great year and made his teammates look pretty poor really.

Thanks to Scott for organising, and for leaving tickets on the gate and space for me to park the daily barge on the stand. One day I'll get the scoob problems properly sorted... :)

Good to catch up with everyone!

boggissimo 02-10-2017 02:54 PM

We came late and had to leave early yesterday, so watched a bit of the action at the back end of the GP circuit and then gradually made our way round to the start/finish straight. By the time we got to the SES area it was raining and most people seemed to be hiding elsewhere! My boy was wondering why a couple of the cars (Steve_PPP and Ginola I think) had a pink 'i' badge on the front instead of a Subaru one?

Also was followed back down the hill by another blob wagon, we gave each other the thumbs up as we parted ways at the M20 roundabout outside Wrotham :ok:

Wasn't me, i was in the dirty grey mondeo as the scoob not worky

But the pink 'i' badge is a JDM thing, not sure where it came from though or the reason for it being i, other than standing for impreza?

Neil97rs 02-10-2017 11:05 PM

Great day and thanks Scott some guy was also looking for you from brands hatch think he said his name was Martin . He was the guy who sorted the tickets for us. He asked to pass on his thanks .
Also the i is for Impreza " to be really anal it's cherry blossom red and not pink lol" it's just a special colour in Japanese society nothing more exciting than that I'm afraid.
