I thought the Argentinian fillet on the hot stone jobbie we had at the steak house was top notch personally, and quite fancy going there again.

I enjoyed it as well, not the best steak but definitely not the worse, was also entertaining watching Big E trying to explain to the waitress he didn't want cucumber lol

:nod::agreed:

worzel 30-12-2011 07:19 PM

Agreed too, I thought the grub there was pretty good to be honest, but we could give somewhere else a try!

We can do some searches and go with the popular choice :ok:

No on the 2nd year we did go down to Cochem, as I remember the waiting staff didn't speak our lingo.

It would nice to eat in one of the riverside hostelries, but I would imagine it might be pricey though.

Crowman 30-12-2011 07:49 PM

That's it Cochem. Stunning place .
Love it, 5 months yet and we are discussing where to eat out .

My plans go something like this.
Feb- exhaust fitting and Map
March - pay for acomodation
April- pay for breakdown and track insurance
May- final prep, octane booster, oil etc

:-) :-) :-)

worzel 30-12-2011 07:59 PM

We went to the restaurant in Adenauer first year, where we met the guy who was a member on here (mark) that was quite nice, not too expensive either, then all the lads went on the piss to sliders and the like!

Crowman 30-12-2011 08:07 PM

Sliders, don't know that place :-)

Skullfudge 31-12-2011 01:20 AM

I loved Cock'em too. A meal in a reverside restaurant would be cool.

Steve, I'll show you that photogenic place near the hotel. Ran out of time last year :)

Scott.T 31-12-2011 05:39 PM

Thread cleaned up and banter moved to : http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ad.php?t=11052

It was good in there.

He moved back over here I think and drifted away from scoobies IIRC.

Scott.T 06-01-2012 09:06 PM

So are we travelling out on the Friday ?
For some reason i thought we were going Thursday to Tuesday as was thinking about coming back Monday (if leaving on Thursday) if that makes sense.

Crowman 06-01-2012 09:11 PM

Cheer's Martyn, I'm just about to ping an email to RobEvo5's Leman gang as they are keen to come along, so better get the dates right ;)

Crowman 06-01-2012 09:21 PM

Don't quote me on it though mate, just what I think Mr Gummidge was planning.

How is it that every year I always have stuff to get sorted on the scoob.
This year diferent scoob and needs clutch, plus having exhaust and remap.

One year I do hope I can just wash and go :-)

Take your old one job done.

You would probably enjoy it more because you would not be so worried about any miss haps.

Crowman 06-01-2012 10:02 PM

You couldn't be more wrong mate, I didn't spend 12k to leave it at home on the best drive of the year

I agree with what your saying about the money, you have spent.

For me though it would good one year to drive a lesser valued car round the ring,

so that if the sh1t did hit the fan,

it would not be such a catastrophe as it would be should something go wrong with your latest pride and joy.

Crowman 06-01-2012 10:29 PM

Perfect world would be drive pride and joy down and then rag a hired track car around

Anger 07-01-2012 04:19 AM

That's a very small list compared to mine :)

Crowman 07-01-2012 07:52 AM

How comes James , thought yours is all sorted

Scooby_Greg 07-01-2012 09:14 AM

Now confirmed with work! Cannot get childcare for the revised dates so the missus can't come, but have a potential for my +1. Need to work out what car I'll be taking next..

Like Martyn said mate, 8.00am boat out on Friday and return home on Tuesday. Some people may want to leave early and go on Monday, but with the track open all day I thought it was well worth an extra day off work :drive:

I am struggling. Mike's not able to do it, so no wing man at the moment and I am trying to shift holiday dates around at work :brickwall:. I will take my name off the list to alow someone else to step in as its not looking likely for me. If I can change it, and there is still space, then great, but I dont want to stop someone else going if I bail out.

No lucky thats not good,

I thought you were the BOSS.

perhaps you should get together with Greg ??

Steve_PPP 07-01-2012 12:12 PM

Thats a shame Lucky :(

Hopefully you can sort something out, think of the bottles of red wine you'll be missing!!

Crowman 07-01-2012 12:48 PM

Blimey James plenty to do.

Good idea Ian , steve and Greig

Lucky 07-01-2012 12:58 PM

Believe me guys, I am doing my best to get it sorted. Problem I have is there are 3 of us in my office and this clashes with one of the others time off, so if i am away it leaves one, which doesnt work.

Crowman 07-01-2012 01:17 PM

Steve I know what you mean, there's only two of us that run the south install , we can't both have same time off .
Fortunately he has not booked any holiday yet.

:doubledown::doubledown::doubledown:

Sorry guys - been mulling it over and given we'd have to come over Friday evening/night arriving around 11/12pm and leave Sunday afternoon it's just not worth it for basically one day as the trip cost will not be much cheaper than the full deal due to having to get the tunnel. Hope you guys have a good one.

Oh Nick that's such a shame .
Do understand though, it's an expensive couple of days .

SpecB 08-01-2012 08:50 PM

If we could have stayed until the Monday I'd have gone for it like our first year but without the bank holiday it's only really a one day trip!
