Crowman 21-05-2012 07:28 PM

Im going to use my mob , as the radios are not much cop unless realy close, although they are a bloody good laugh when we are all in tight convoy.

Had some right giggles.

I have a few ideas regarding convoy down, will need to swap numbers with a few people.

BIG"E" 21-05-2012 07:31 PM

worzel 21-05-2012 07:49 PM

The Nokia's are fine.

Smart phones are ok but I find you get a better signal strength and battery life with the cheapies.

At least you will only have to charge it once just before you leave, instead of every other day..:tumbleweed:

Granby 21-05-2012 10:07 PM

majorscooby 22-05-2012 07:02 PM

Just a thought even though im not driving, is somebody taking a footpump or is there a machine in a local garage?

Crowman 22-05-2012 07:06 PM

Good call rich , will see if I can find my cig lighter one

Steve_PPP 22-05-2012 07:56 PM

I've got a foot pump in the boot, although that won't help you on the way over ;)

Last year my pressures were up in the 40s after a couple of laps in the afternoon so I was screeching round every corner. Will let them down when hot this year then pump up after :)

Granby 22-05-2012 08:33 PM

I've got a Halfords power pack thingy, air compressor, jump starter etc, just charging it up now :ok:

What do you mean by a dial gauge and mag stand.

My Steve used to be an engineer and may have the gauge.

Crowman 23-05-2012 08:17 PM

Got no idea what they are

Crowman 23-05-2012 08:57 PM

Erm , what are they then please

alfa male 23-05-2012 09:10 PM

dti (dial test indicator me tinks?)- a gauge that goes + to - to show if something is running out of true, magnetic stand to hold the dti to a workpiece. for example, use the magnetic stand to latch on to a wishbone and place the dti on a disc to see if its warped.
