Little update:
We are bought 1L swirl pot,2x Sytec Brackets,Sytec Fuel filter and some braided lines with fittings for good price, hope so will be fitted next week including the front splitter and other bits Now we are need just Bosch 044 or something similar,we are thinking go with HRC 6002HF,which is similar to the Bosch 044 Here is picture of the Swirl pot setup http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_0931.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_0934.jpg Last bit which we are looking(put on our wagon) is this spoiler, looks awesome :wow: http://cdn.mkimg.carview.co.jp/carli...t=9b140450340f http://cdn.mkimg.carview.co.jp/minka...t=9a7132d5deca http://cdn.mkimg.carview.co.jp/carli...t=9b140450340f Jura |
Think you should stay well away from that spoiler, don't think it would suit the car

Hi Jura
When you changed from auto to manual, did you buy a manual wrx's ecu or use the original ? |

When we are changed from auto to manual we are used same ECU(on first start up),there is no difference in the ECU on the New age,you will need just remap the ECU for those changes This should help you http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t863...nual-swap.html http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t168...-5mt-swap.html Jura |
Little update:
On Saturday Duncan@Race Dynamix tweaked/mapped our wagon on the NOS,few problems we have on the day of the mapping, but Duncan pulled all together and everything has been mapped. With this I would like to thank you to the Duncan@Race Dynamix for mapping and take the time for to do so,before Time Attack, really big thank you Duncan:notworthy:thumb: And would like to say thanks to the TimH for wiring the NOS:thumb: How it feels on the road? Feels awesome:luvlove:,at any gear we need just 0.0bar(positive boost) when NOS starting to spool turbo and kick of this is just so brutal,we are running just 25bhp jet,but still power delivery so amazing and really feels so great.NOS is set only for spool up Not sure how will this compare to the 50bhp(or 100bhp jet):wonder::norty: We are been yesterday on the Santa Pod and we are made 11.9296s/119.66mph,those runs has been without the LC and on the heavy 18" ROTA Grid Drift with street tyres Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta, just wish we are have there with 17" and R888 My brother first run has been high 19's(he stalled on start:o ) with trap speed:118.96mph,this has suggested we should today will making low 12's Next run he made 12.2s,12.7,12.1,13.3 with similar trap speeds 118-119mph,after few runs still he struggled on start(he bogged down few times) and at the 5pm,he went last time and he made 11.9296s/119.66mph :luxhello: We are been there only from 4pm until 5pm and we are done around the 12 runs Everything has been almost spotless, when we are again run out the fuel on the M1 towards to the M25(we are waited on the Breakdown almost 4 hours:freak3:),our Race Dash showed again full tank and we are never thought so this can again happens to us...How I hate this Now wagon going to Neil@Slowboy racing for front splitter, custom rear bench and maybe swirl pot(all depends on the time and if we have all parts),but our priority is have fuel gauge Jura |
Into the 11's I bet your very pleased well done!
Bummer about running out of petrol tho! |

Agreed with fuel we have problems, but hope so Neil will fit AutoMeter Fuel gauge Jura |

Few updates:
Wagon is at home,we are yesterday been for wagon and Neil checked everything several times before he handed down us wagon and really pleased with the Neil's job on the swirl pot setup, looks amazing and mainly will be not just for show, but will work as should which is for us most important thing Fuel gauge is wired too and working too, very happy with this and really we are shouldn't run out the fuel Next week on the Tuesday/Wednesday we are going for Brands Hatch afternoon taster,20 mins which be great for us to test the setup and find if will be good on Nurburgring in end of the month Further plan is done few track days and Santa pod 1/4mile and finally get car in to low 11's if not we will not chase the times,we are will be happy with what we will do and mainly have fun, which is important for anyone Works Bell paddle shifter is wired and will work as LC switch and second shifter should be as ALS or something else, which we are not decided On the way home we are find out the Wideband doesn't work and seems stuck at 1,will investigate further when we have time, but in the sCAL is no error, which means working,strange... But one thing I must admit,044 fuel pump is very noisy, really think those pumps are very noisy...Think earplugs should be good investment:getmecoat::lol: I will take few pictures in couple of days of the how it looks Jura |
Spotted you yesterday going through Lewisham :ok:

Here are promised pics of the Swirl pot

Little update:
Today we are been at Neil@Slowboy Racing for swapping our Rota Grid drift for "track wheels" Drag DR31 with Toyo R888 255/45 R17 and swapping our HKS Ti-Limited backbox for HKS H-Power Silent backbox, which we are used today on the track Must admit driving with new backbox is much quieter and we are love this backbox.Today has been noise limit just 102dB and with Ti-Limited we wouldn't/can't pass noise limit(Ti-Limited is 104-105dB),but with Hi-Power Silent we are pass without the problem just 93dB Again thanks to Neil@Slowboy racing for swapping all bits in short notice and really great work:thumb: Now about the track day taster,we are come there before 5pm and our taster session started at 6pm At 6pm we are went on the track, but when we are started fuel pressure light come(0 bar, which means no fuel at all,we are filled before with 40L of V-power and 10L methanol at home),we are know can be the fuel pressure sensor,we are carried as usual and went on the track, when my brother put foot down, car backfired like we are running out the fuel or moved but very jerky/jumping ,we are know something is not right,we are aborted our taster session and went to the pit, where track marshal said,we can go on later session if we are sort this problem. At this stage we are been not sure, what can be and my brother suggest we should go try out how car feels on the road or problems persist too on the road.We are went on the road,we are tried to pull and everything worked, boost has been OK,Fuel pressure we are get error at SCal and has been flagged as voltage error, but still car perform well After that we are went again to pit on our next taster session, which has been awesome.Car perform on the track as we are know will be with this setup, grip with Toyo has been just amazing, wheel alignment is just perfect, totally different which we have before, car feels more planted to track and mainly no understeer or oversteer at corners, but still we are been first time on the track with right setup and we are not been fast as we are should, which I think my brother will need few lessons how to drive on the track,he still love more drag, but me,can say I love the circuits, but my heart still love Hill Climbs. Again about the track,we are been not slow, but still my brother don't know, which gear he should go or which speed will be best, still we are learning and we are think tuition on next track day will be needed. Again car feels mighty and really we are enjoyed today, but still not the best start to track day,but at least everything is OK Video I will post later on,but I've made mistake and sound is just horrible:cry: Jura |
Few updates:
On Sunday we are been at TimH for sorting the fuel pressure sensor and wideband.. Drive there has been worse drive and really this fuel pressure sensor caused us few problems on the way there TimH send us the modified CAL,which has help to drive there and without this CAL we wouldn't make there Problem seems been on the side of the Fuel pressure sensor and this caused car doesn't start as should or drive as should, because sensor has been faulty and Syvecs seen as fault and we have set the at CAL when fuel pressure is 1bar engine will cut,but our sensor has been faulty and read 0bar,and this caused engine cut or jerkiness under light throttle or WOT TimH replaced the sensor and still is for us and for Tim too mystery why this sensor failed, when is rated to 20bar and shouldn't fail under any circumstances,Tim sorted too wideband on which one pin has been unplugged and now working as should and we are getting the reading as before. LC is wired to Works Bell paddle shifter and we are looking forward to test this in next two weeks on the Santa pod Last bit, which needs to be sorted is RT(Race technology) Speed sensor,Neil@Slowboy racing check the sensor and looking like failed(LED stuck on ON) an seems is melted too, this is very strange,on the track worked well, just after we are drove from Brands Hatch we are lost the reading like on the Syvecs/Toucan and Dash2.. Neil swapped again backbox for our HKS Ti-Limited and check everything again on the car and seems our problem is now speed reading, which will be hopefully sorted, I've sent email to RT about their sensor Next week looking like our wagon will be photoshooted for Jap Performance Magazine and we are looking forward,we are staying on the 255/40R17 R888 and on the Drag DR31 9JX17 for photoshoot,we are agreed with Latso with those wheels car looks great Here are pics what we are take http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...MG_1014HDR.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...MG_1013HDR.jpg On 18th/19th we are looking go on the Santa pod for few drag runs and in September or beginning September (all depends on the brother day off) we are looking go on the Nurburgring and visit few tracks on the way there or back Jura |
looks awesome, those wheels suit it very well! :ok:

Yesterday our wagon has been photoshoot'd for Japanese Performance Magazine, what day and really we enjoyed this, few sneaky pictures are posted here, which sent us Dan(Thanks Dan) Later of the day,we are been on Surrey Rolling road,we are want be there for power run,but at the end we are just watched few power runs other guys and probably biggest shock when I've found P1 with neatest rotated setup(Lateral Performance Radiator/FMIC combo),from outside looks just normal(yes AP like at front and rear),but engine bay is just amazing, wish we have DSLR:doh: Great car and great job Alan(Guinness) and thanks again for help:10: Later on we are speak with Duncan about few things and he done few changes on the map, mainly on the idle side, again great work Duncan and see you on the Sunday Here are promised pictures http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...prezawagon.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon52.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon48.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon43.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon32.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon30.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon21.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon18.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...ezawagon15.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...onJPEGS-12.jpg http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/a...gonJPEGS-6.jpg Jura |

Little update:
On Saturday and Sunday we are been on the Santa Pod RWYB... Wagon has been amazing,on some needs things to have look like is the high ACT(Air Charge Temperature) during the queueing,we are thinking to use water spray, which will be spraying direct on the FMIC core As Latso(my brother) said, all been perfect, but still on the Toyo R888 we are managed put good times with lower terminal speed. Now about the times,on the Saturday we are come there around 2pm and drive there has been awful,on M1 has been again congestion and we are queued for good 10 miles. On the Santa pod has been Rotorstock which has been great, seen few nice modified RX7 and RX8,but still pretty disappointed with the times. But seen there few real drag runs, like 6.8s/265mph Mazda 350z(Project Zed) and few oldschool Muscle cars, shame my camera battery died  But biggest surprise for us has been Honda Civic drag specials, which done low 10's on the every run, crazy Now about the our attempts: Everything has been ready on first drive and we are been ready,my brother went to drag strip and first time has been 12.5/115.07,not bad,my brother went again on the 3 runs and he done same times with 12.5 After he done few runs when come to pit and we are started to lower the tyre pressure to 20psi My brother went again on the drag strip and he done again 5 runs and he did similar times and I've been little bit disappointed,on last attempt before he comes to pit he done again 11.9484/116.10,when seen this time and looked on the terminal speed, before on the road tyres he did almost same time with higher terminal speed We are little bit rest and I've logged last runs and at 5pm my brother went again on the strip and he done 4runs,at this point I was thinking time will go down and we should will be only improving, but still times started go up and down, best time at this time has been just 12.1 and worse has been 12.9 when he bogged down Again around the 17:30 we are went on the last 4 runs with our fiend Luke,he runs Audi S4 with NOS and he running 400bhp,not sure if its with NOS or without the NOS:ninja: His first run bigged down and time has been 12.9,next run has been little bit better with 12.5,on the third run,he did our personal best 11.8395/117.45mph and after that he did one more run and this time has been 11.9232/116.73mph We are decided go home and we are been pretty happy with this time, here is video from our best run, more videos will be uploaded, just will need time to edit and mainly compress to lower size On Sunday we are come there around the 11am and there has been big queue,we are come to pit and there has been again lots of cars and we are seen again there are few other events and we are know will be today not the best, plus ACT temps has been just crazy at queue and we are just pushed the wagon,he went on the track after lunchtime and he did his first time 12.5/116mph not the best, but we are think we will improve, but after my brother done again 5 runs, times has been almost same with one 12.1 and few low 12s,we are been not happy and mainly this day RWYB has been little bit more busy than other RWYB days and we are decide go home around at 4pm,my brother has have something to do... Here is our best run, thanks Sean for GoPro HD  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgWyO...yer_detailpage Jura |
You could wire up an extra fan to keep under bonnet temps down in que. Also good to help temps after your time on track. Good times by the way & that engine sounds fit. :drive:

Few updates:
Yesterday we are been at Neil@Slowboy racing for our wagon,he done amazing job again on the wagon, replaced speed sensor and replaced our track wheels for ROTA.. Thanks Neil for great job:thumbsup: Neil fitted yesterday new Race Technology "Hal effect" Speed sensor, first sensor which has sent Race technology has been faulty.First sensor which they're sent simply doesn't switch when detect the metal plus voltage has been there strange,Neil suspected is faulty and RT has confirmed this.Neil fitted sensor on the driveshaft where shouldn't be exposed to heat from brakes. First sensor which has been fitted before has been damaged on the track(from report looking like has been melted, but still don't understand how it is possible),RT don't like idea when has been fitted near brake disc, but RT has seen this last time and their technician seen this and confirm this is good place for speed sensor. They're accept the fault, but still we are must pay 1/2 for speed sensor.. Finally after that,we are getting speed like on the Dash2 and Toucan which is good. Car feels awesome in any gear, after driving Megane switching to Subaru is difference like day and night,we are done yesterday small B-roads driving and we are been surprised how car behave/feels on the b-roads after driving the Renault,Renault is OK,but is in the different league like Subaru We are speak with Neil about the our plan go with 2.35L and all now depends on the sell of the engine, but if we will sell the our 2.1L stroker we will go ahead with 2.35L. With 2.35L and GT35R should be fun on the drag and on the track,we are very exciting about this:thumbsup: Jura |
Few updates:
Today we are been at Neil@Slowboy racing speak about the our next steps and we are very excited about this Our 2.1L stroker will be removed in next two weeks,at moment is for sale including the turbo, induction kit, injectors and should be for sale too FMIC... Plan is have 2.35L with those parts fitted: EJ22T block Mahle Pistons Carrillo A-Beam rods Cosworth HG Modified Oil pump New water pump 14mm ARP Headstuds Cosworth baffled plate Bigger sump Cosworth timing belt Full gasket/seals set/kit Heads: JDM Big port AVCS heads or 2.5L AVCS STi heads Kelford AVCS cams V2-199-D Supertech double or single springs with Ti retainers Supertech valves and valve seats Injectors should be we will use ID1000's Turbo choice is GTX3582 Billet or GT30 Billet FMIC will be probably RS500 core(but we are looking for few option such as Lateral Intercooler/radiator combo) with shorter pipework and rotated Spec C manifold Gearbox will stay PPG,we are like the PPG and we will keep the box until we will need to go with 6speed My brother next week probably flying to USA on trip and buying some parts from USA. As before whole project will be carried out Neil@Slowboy racing Jura |
This combo= Lateral Intercooler/radiator combo) with shorter pipework and rotated Spec C manifold
with a GTX30R twin scroll will spool like a mighty spooling thing  |
Sounds like an awesome spec :-)
Been looking at these intercoolers myself, The Airtec RS500 intercooler seems to be pretty popular at the moment. Sure there was a thread on SN somewhere where Harvey gave his opinion on them which would be worth a read I best pull my finger out and get cracking with mine!! ;-) |

Agreed about the 2.35L,we are think few times about this and we are decided will be best to have 2.35L. As we are last time speak,we are want to do high 10's run and if its possible low 10's and 600bhp+ will be nice to have Jura |
