Concentrate on the most important mate. Don't need a radio, just a cigarette lighter to charge the satnav. Dent in door doesn't really matter. Maybe give SMD a bell if you need a hand - much quicker to do this stuff with a workshop and ramps! :)

Or bring the scoob and leave the 2 tonne shed in the garden.

555_Si 12-05-2014 07:43 PM

cigarette lighter doesn't work as I used wiring for something else.

most of it will be done, I finally finished my over running contract today, so work starts in anger tomorrow, I have mates ramps and his help hopefully on Thursday evening, but SMD might have a call soon.

If you're likely to need it, call them tomorrow ;)

I'm there on Wednesday and when I phoned they were working to about an 8-10 day booking wait....

555_Si 12-05-2014 09:12 PM

Lol, I've driven some supercharged ones and turbo is the way to go. 450bhp turbo kit is awesome and I can only compare it to my mates old 450bhp evo7.

One day it may happen, reason I'm taking golf is scoob ha a we problems at moment and I wanted to get golf up and running this year, Nurburg gives me the green light to do it. I love both cars and to be honest they are two completely different cars, I think compliment each other. Scoob will always be my serious track toy.

Scooby_Greg 12-05-2014 09:19 PM

Glad the scoob is ok- worried for a while that you may have had a serious issue with it!

Errr, nothing like last minute but does anyone have a working set of single pot rear calipers?

That will teach me to check the pads on both sides and not just one and assume they'd both be the same :(

Late night in mates garage last night, think we finished at 10.30!
Bad evening, everything going wrong, couldn't press new poly bushes into wishbones and damaged them slightly, got them in in the end, they will have to do. Then steering rack bolts snapped, so had to drill out and retap.

Put everything back together then realise front arb was on upside down, doh, all off again to swap.

Feeling knackered today. But work must go on.

Gahhh I hate "those" days when you set out with good intentions but every nut and bolt seems to want to **** it self :(

On a positive note, spoke to Mr Moulson he is sorting bits on Monday! yeey,.. now to sort out a "small" cleaning kit for Germany and my box of tools/bits and bobs and I am ready! ....hmmm how many buckets should I bring?

555_Si 19-05-2014 10:43 AM

car booked in for Geo and a brief corner weight session to get me by, arches rolled to death last night to get 888's under, not the best job, but then the rest of the car isn't exactly tidy at the moment, will have to revisit bodywork once I get back.

Got my Euros today, also got through to Moley after just THREE rings of the phone! Top stuff as always from Gary, makes it so quick and easy so thank you to him for that. Tomorrow I'll be putting petrol in, cleaning it (do it once every couple of months whether it needs it or not) packing, quadrupley checking I have everything and printing off relevant items. Bet i still forget something....

Scott.T 21-05-2014 09:11 PM

Lucky buggers with your day's off.
I've got drive up to Wembley and back for a meeting, that will be a waste of time.
The company we are dealing with are as good as chocolate tea pots. But they are Eurofighter approved/sole supplier.......
