Only if the tar marks have been taken off! Will be good to see you mate

Lucky 23-07-2013 09:31 PM

We've been out there tonight and secured a great spot on level ground, so no issues with low cars. They are also reserving the large decked area with tables and chairs next to the river so a really nice place to sit and have something to eat and drink if anyone wishes. Full pub menu will be available on the day.

Should be a really good day especially if we get the weather.

SHOW AND SHINE

To give the meet more of a show feel there will be a show and shine competition at this meet.
The aim being to make part of the day about the cars rather the beer, food and boating.

During the day EVERY car will be judged unless we are told otherwise.
It will be based on the concourse principles where in total 100 points are awarded accross 10 category. For example exterior, interior, under bonnet etc....etc....that way a clean car on the outside looses points if the same attention to detail is not on the inside and vica versa.

The winner will receive a certificate and small trophie or cleaning products.
Therefore please get cleaning and help make this day a special one.

jonnyricer5 23-07-2013 11:52 PM

Scooby_Greg 24-07-2013 06:52 AM

ScoobyStu 24-07-2013 12:10 PM

Weather is looking a little dodgy at the moment but never mind, if it does rain we have use of a big marquee next to the pub :)

555_Si 25-07-2013 11:07 PM

Just remembered I also have a nice Nurburgring umbrella now.

I think you'll need it! Can't believe the forecast after all the great weather we've had

555_Si 26-07-2013 06:59 AM

I'm beginning to think SES only do wet days lol. Goodwood track day, Nurburgring and now this.

C. J. 26-07-2013 08:56 AM

You could all go to York for the weekend where the sun will be shining and whatch me Andy f , the Laterial banana , jgm and loads of othe scoobs at ten of the best :D

We haven't had the greatest luck with the weather this year but we still always get a good turnout nonetheless. Although we only had one wet day at the Ring really, so it certainly wasn't a washout! ;)

We'll have the SES gazebo to shelter under by the cars if needed tomorrow, plus plenty of shelter at the pub. The BBC Weather is showing a lot of rain about midday but then more patchy showers in the afternoon, so if the sun comes out it will dry out quickly :)

Does this mean I can leave the enormous insect graveyard currently attached to all forward facing surfaces of the sc00b intact in the hope some bad weather washes it off so I don't have to?

If I clean the car tonight and it rains tomorrow I will be tempted to bring the pug!! :p :polish:

thepieman 26-07-2013 01:45 PM

Have a great day tomorrow people:five:

Started giving the 22B some loving today and decided to go the whole hog, so its bumpers and trims off for a good clean and seal of everything:doubleup:

mainly to get rid of all this unsightly dirt sitting on the plastics :angst:http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pse16532e9.jpg

will be sorting a couple of stone chips to the front end whilst the bumpers are off too:polish:

needless to say, very much doubt I will be done in time for the meet:doubledown: Claire's working overtime, so the Fozzy will be tied up too:doh:

Enjoy the day and stop worrying about the weather!!! It didn't spoil any of the ring trip so i'm sure tomorrow will be the same :ok:

see you all soon

simba 26-07-2013 02:34 PM

i think rather than show n shine it should be best BEADING of the day !!

Steve_PPP 26-07-2013 05:13 PM

Just checked the forecast again and its changed for the better :D

Looks like sunshine with scattered showers and the heavy rain/storms not coming in until the evening. So the afternoon might be fine after all

That's better ... how long does this meet normally last?

As long as you want few hours usually there is boating up the river you can do

Steve_PPP 26-07-2013 07:38 PM

Its completely up to you how long you want to stay. Most people will turn up around 12pm, then leave when they want to - after food, ice cream, walking or a spot of boating. Oh, and not to forget hanging around the scoobs nattering ;)

I'm sure they'll be plenty of people there for most of the afternoon.

ScoobyStu 26-07-2013 08:33 PM

Going to have to miss this now I'm afraid. By the time I've finished work and got there, it will be nigh on 6pm! Hope you all have a great day.
