Juppy 05-07-2012 09:18 PM

Doh, just replied on facebook..... copy & paste time :)

i've emailed the Modified Live organisers to ask the question. My assumption is that you will queue up to get in with the rest of us at the Paddock Entrance, but I will confirm as soon as i hear back....

Juppy 05-07-2012 09:27 PM

 ok steve thanks

Steve_PPP 06-07-2012 08:37 AM

OK, those needing to buy tickets on the gate can do so at the Paddock entrance when the rest of us go in - theres a ticket booth selling them.

Means we can all come in together :)

Hi guys, is it worth me getting a couple of throw away bbq's? If everyone chips in and gets some food we can throw on them or are we not allowed?? Just a thought

Pretty sure they don't allow bbq's as they have their own stands selling hot food. I think a few people (Dave and Mrs) are bringing some picnic stuff, if its anything like the one at Goodwood they'll be plenty spare

Sweet as just a thought thats all, we will prob bring some stuff to as the food is normally astronomical lol

Hongkongfooi 06-07-2012 09:36 PM

Crowman 06-07-2012 10:33 PM

Probably cos nobody can be arsed to walk round there to tell them off

I might be wrong, but i just recall them not being allowed apart from in the camping areas.

Moley_WRX 07-07-2012 12:01 AM

I don't think it's going to be BBQ weather to be honest

Greig 07-07-2012 09:37 AM

Can you go in by foot and how much are the tickets on the gate?

Cool, come and say hello

GB270Adam 07-07-2012 06:56 PM

Had to wash mine outside today, god damn sap marks all over the bonnet! unable to get them off because of this so called British Summer weather! Will be bringing the clay kit with me to hopefully sort it out if the rain leaves off, other than that looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow.

Krissyb 07-07-2012 07:06 PM

See you all tomoz , p1 is still dirty from mapping last week :-( never mind

robinmgb 07-07-2012 07:36 PM

Car cleaned and ready to meet you all in the morning, fingers crossed the weather will be better than the forecast!

Steve_PPP 07-07-2012 08:41 PM

See you all at the meeting point at 7:30am!

When we get to our stand area, please hang about for a bit whilst we get cars parked up in a nice formation.

If anyones got a free set of hands, i'd appreciate some help getting the gazebo and flags up too  i'm planning on putting the gazebo about central on the stand at the back, tied to the fence at the rear in case the wind picks up. We'll work the rest out when we get there! :ok:

scoobyslayer 07-07-2012 08:54 PM

Daz & myself will be making an appearance...

Just incase anyone needs trackside support!!

See you all tomorrow

Steve_PPP 07-07-2012 08:59 PM

Will be good to see you guys

Ginola 07-07-2012 09:45 PM

Washed mine today, was dry when I started but had to finish in the rain, dried in the garage :s
Hopefully the forecasters have it wrong and the rain will hold off tomorrow.

That will be cool Neil :ok:

SeanMcKnetic 08-07-2012 06:01 AM

Curbed my wheel yesterday and had a massive strop. My passenger has dropped out so I do aim to be at the meet spot for 7.30am.

If anyone has a Silvertec indicator bulb going spare and can bring it today I will pay good money. I have a nasty case of egg yolk on one side right now. It's part number 582S.

Tomma 08-07-2012 07:27 AM

Just on my way home from work, there's just been a smash up m20 London bound at Maidstone - road is shut, not sure for how long tho, saw a couple of scoobs waiting!

Good luck guys

Steve_PPP 08-07-2012 06:36 PM

Thanks to everyone for coming

The shocking weather this morning brightened up nicely for the afternoon, with only a couple of quick showers. Was baking hot when the sun did show its face!

And thanks to CJ and Dukeboy for getting there early, discovering our pitch was half covered in wet mud, and the other half under 2" of water - but acting quickly to find the club a much better spot! Felt a bit sorry for the organisers but it didn't spoil the day in the end.

Ginola 08-07-2012 07:03 PM

Thanks all for a good day, sorry I was 6mins late!!.. will stick some photos up later... in the mean time here is one for James..!

SeanMcKnetic 08-07-2012 07:19 PM

It was a good day. Thanks for organising Steve. The weather tried its best to spoil things but was not successful.

As for the girls in Lycra, a couple of them looked like they were starting a cameltoe pride rally.

And the Time Attack girl in the black outfit caused me to walk straight into a lorry.

r33ryan 08-07-2012 08:10 PM

top day today, nice to meet a few members, shame about weather, but made the most of a good day

Good to meet some new faces today.

Finished mapping P1 around 9pm.

Feels better now.

Anger 08-07-2012 11:34 PM

Good to see everyone today :)

Greig 08-07-2012 11:36 PM

we saw the silver classic on the way out today, looks wicked with those wheels and arches, came over but no one wasabout earlier
Good day, civic cup racing was good to watch

Steve_PPP 09-07-2012 08:26 AM

I like the Civic cup racing too, watched the race at about 4:30pm and was cheering on the guy in the yellow one who worked his way up from 6th to 2nd with some great overtaking.

And now South East Water have announced their hose-pipe ban has ended too, we can wash the mud off our wheels more easily!

tbtstt 09-07-2012 09:23 AM

Looks like you had a good (though slightly damp) one!

Was planning to come down to this, but I was in no fit state to be behind the wheel of a car yesterday, so had to give it a miss.

Look forward to seeing more pictures!

lupuss 09-07-2012 11:10 AM

Once again, thanks for organising this Steve - had a great day even though the weather tried it's best to ruin it! Truck racing and Civic racing was great - so close...

Enjoyed a visit to the pits and being able to get so close to some awsome cars.

Well done CJ and Dukeboy for sorting a new stand location - the original place looked pretty grim!..

J.
