im hoping to make it and can't see why i shouldn't be able to.
Got so many plans it just saving up the pennies to carry them out |
Just a question, and not holding anyone to anything, but roughly what time do you guys reckon we will leave RCM in the afternoon?. Just so I can make plans or not as the case may be for the evening.
Cheers. Oh, and I suppose while we are at it, what time and where are we meeting in the morning? Steve |
We are meant to be there from about 10.00am - 3.00pm.
But we can dip out a little bit earlier if we need to? |
When I go to RCM it's the ONLY time I never tell my Mrs what time I expect to arrive back home :)
I have often left RCM's in the dark. I arrived at their old place at 1.15am one night lol ......... bless 'em. Olly & Matt were still up as they knew I was on the way (my map sensor went at Silverstone). I turned up with a mate and Olly had already sorted & paid for hotel, breakfast and P1 was ready at 10.30 the following morning. Top fella |

The P1 engine is well on it's way now :)
Hear are the heads, block and the new RCM Omega pistons. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3.../Heads2011.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...dge/Block2.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...dge/Block1.jpg They are flat out with the thing and it will be great if it's ready on the 10th. I really hope it's done as that will mean I don't have to sit next to James for another 2.5 hours home bound. His animal impressions are extremely good and but after 2 hours of listening to elephants, chimpanzees & the rest of Africa's fooking residents, my ears have had enough and I don't know what month I'm in. |
Ive added more countries animals to my impressions list now Clive... So your be fine :D
|
Can you squeeze another one in?
PS - How did Fudge become a Mod ?? :-o |
Holy cow Clive thats well clean...will be good to see on the rollers next week?

Not sure if its best to use M1 or M40/A46/M69, the M1 route is slightly shorter but has a load of roadworks on it. M40 passes Prodrive on the way back if anyone wants to stop for a nose-around and a photo in front of the buildings. Although not sure if it will be getting dark by this point.... |

surely the time we will be going in the morning it won't be a problem. Sim and I did scoobyclinic in 3 hrs with brekkie on route via M1 and that was a weekday. over to the organisers..... |
Cheers Steve :)
|
We've always gone up M1 without issue, theres a coupld of 50 sections but the runs fairly easy.
We have travelled previously to get there for 9am on a weekday, hopefully the weekend run will be the same or a little easier:five: Especially as people can start arriving for 10am. The meeting on the M1 sounds like a good idea, as mentioned people are travelling from different directions. I would expect a convoy from the Hastings side (probably headed by SilverSurfer) and one from perhaps PPottage as PPP suggested. (we've met at the Copthorne Road Shell on previous occassions) (probably headed by PPP) Worzel, Crowman and myself are looking at arriving early to help organise things with RCM......... so we will be travelling ahead of the time that the masses need to.... |
When I used to go to the Ford RS shows at Stanford Hall/Lutterworth (M1 J19) I used to go A21, M25, M11, A14
Not sure who on the list is East Sussex / Kent |
This Weekend Folks
Steve_PPP will be departing Pease Pottage Services at 7:30am for a 10am arrival at RCM Route will be: M23, M25, M1. Anyone meeting at PP, please add there names to the list (so Steve knows numbers) :thanx: Pease Pottage for 7:30am Depart: 1. Steve_PPP 2. 3. |
