Just noticed your stereo surround has been cut out, might have a spare one here if you want it that hasn't been butchered. Will check it hasn't been damaged.
|
Cheers si - would appreciate that - was hacked by the previous owner :ok:
Agreed I prefer the boxer soundtrack but sometimes you can't beat a good tune either - best of both worlds :ok: |
Cool I'll dig it out, think I saw it in the shed, I mean Jeep, last night.

Yeah impressed with the sound but Impreza doors are very thin metal and get quite bad vibration issues - so although more weight (about 4kgs) I went for full dynamat extreme sound deadening - makes big difference :ok:
|
Well I finnnnnnnaaaalllllllllly got my eibach coilovers fitted...
Still required some fettling but they are on :ok: http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psb6f73hjs.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ps5idvoadm.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psqchikwzo.jpg Whiteline max c front top mounts - group n blobeye rear top mounts... |

http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psxulkoalw.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ps7gbxh8nk.jpg Car is sitting 35mm lower at back and 30mm lower at front... Goes in tomorrow for full geometry setup with pro drive settings and then the 18's will go back on... Also having my new neutral position switch fitted so that might bring my engine back to full performance... :ok: |

Later in the year I will need to have the waxoil done as I have found my first 3 tiny bubbles of rust starting to come through on the offside rear arch - every other arch is fine, but that needs sorting before it gets worse.
Also planned to have turbo and injectors done - but I think I will leave them until after Xmas as monies starting to be saved for Xmas. Ryan :ok: |

Any pics of the whole car as it sits lower now? |
no whole car pics at the moment as it was p*ssing down - but once set up and the 18's back on tomorrow - ill post up some before and after pics :ok:
|
Wahey...! Finally the suspension is on. Good stuff, can't wait to see the finished results, hope it feels as good as it should look.
Time to get some negative camber going and utilising all that tyre! |

Well off to have geo setup this morning and neutral position switch fitted -let's hope it gives me some horses / top end grunt back :ok:
|
Well geometry was a bit out - to say the least!!!! (Top before - bottom after!)
http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psichk2aho.jpg Wheels back on and car looking a lot lower :ok: http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psjguqo8qh.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ps7ts7yxda.jpg And neutral position switch went in also - wow what a difference! Got my top end power back and car feels amazing :ok: |
Will get some better pics today as was rushing yest :ok:
|
How do you find the coilovers? Not to firm etc??
|
Feel good - solid when giving it some but fairly relaxed and like standard when mooching around :ok:
|
That looks much better on the Geo, If it was me Id want a little more toe in on the front but I'm really picky! :) the height looks much better too.. I bet she drives different now!
|
She feels very tight and secure on the road which is good :ok:

(Yes he did chuckle and say - you only drive at 30mph - so what you worried about :ok:) |
Something that maybe the mappers may help with (Scott maybe) - since the new neutral position switch has been fitted - im drinking petrol like its going out of fashion!
Before switch (and I guess having no AVCS (or whatever its called)) I used to get approx. 75miles from 1/4 tank - I had the switch fitted, and gained all my power back e.t.c. and without booting it (seriously I was just driving normally) - I only got 45miles from the 1/4 tank on the way home. I filled up again and tested again yest driving to work and back etc and same result - 42 miles on 1/4 tank. Do you think since having the switch now working and the AVCS (or whatever!) working - I may need my map tweaking? At the time of the map - when Duncan said the switch wasn't working - he said no tweak would be needed - but just very odd how my consumption has nearly doubled.. Ryan :ok: |
Think you need to be asking Duncan as your mapper not us 👍

update- not the best one though! Took the car out last weekend for the first time in 6wks.
Drove 400mtrs down the road and was sat waiting to give way at parked car - got flashed through and as I started to go, the other car decided it didnt' wanna wait now, and so came through same time ! Evasive swerve = two ripped to shreds tyres (only done 200miles) + 1 totally fecked alloy (ripped the rim off all the way round). Got two new tyres (£230 including new tracking set up) but need to get wheel sorted as its shocking... Looks really bad... Lepsons want £105 to refurb the one rim... joy of joys... |
Oh and needless to say it went back in the garage (after a wipe down) and is feeling very sorry for itself ! ha ha ha
|
Such a dingleberry! I am sure you will get the wheel sorted soon, just how bad is it?
|
Pmsl - dingleberry! That a hayleigh phrase? :ok:
http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psmud8xdz9.jpg Looks better as new tyre covers the worst of it... http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...psmohfpxgw.jpg Doh :-( |
It actually shredded the whole length of tyre protector off the tyres like spaghetti and they had trouble sealing the tyre coz the rim has lost its lip :-(
|
That was my phrase, it's polite and forum friendly in a light hearted manner but the picture show its a tidy job you did there! They look like my wheels now!
