The leggies are nice but they just dont do it for me .

Banstead Stig 21-01-2018 09:09 AM

The S402 estate is just about the best looking car Subaru has ever made in my opinion.

I wish I could get a low mileage one in the UK without the hassle of importing.

They're brilliant cars.

When you get to looking, if you want to ask anything or see if I know the car (I'm a proper nerd and know quite a few of the cars and owners) then feel free to drop me a line. :ok:

I have toyed with the idea of doing that. Seems a bit risky, but then maybe I'm just paranoid.

Banstead Stig 22-01-2018 07:58 PM

Scotty, do you use Facebook?

There's a chap in the Forester Owners Club UK group with a black FSTi that he'll be selling soon. Some div bashed his bumper, which he's replacing, then it'll be up for sale... the good news is its taking ages as the parts are coming from Japan.

Might work for you, might not, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Banstead Stig 23-01-2018 08:38 PM

Ah so thats the one might pm the guy to get more info on it .

Banstead Stig 24-01-2018 09:16 PM

He seems like a decent chap as he posts quite regularly, so hopefully he'll be a genuine seller.

Best of luck.

I do, but it's getting to the stage that I can't. I do too many miles a year to keep using it as my only car and I don't really have the room to keep it as a weekend car, so I'm increasingly coming around to the idea of selling.

It's done 103k miles now, so that might put you off. Depends how many miles you do a year.

Is it a sti version you can send me some pics of it also is going to be cheap lol.

Banstead Stig 07-02-2018 08:28 PM

Yeah it's a STi.

It won't be stupidly priced. It's a good car but I'm realistic.

There is a thread with pics on here, but it may have gone wrong with the photobucket brouhaha.

Will do.

As I say, I'm still only coming round to the idea, but it'll have to go at some point.

I've had it almost seven years.

It's come close recently, but I missed out on the replacement I was interested in... it's even rarer than the FSTi. :o

scotty 17-02-2018 04:40 PM

We went and had a look at my mates old FSTI today that is up forsale at a small dealer i forgot how mint it is not a swril mark on the paint , interior is immaculate , sounds sweat as a nut only issues is wrong tyre size and its low .

Banstead Stig 17-02-2018 05:23 PM

Those tyres do look ridiculous!

I haven't forgotten about you by the way.

The car has been earning its keep, as have I putting all that up in the house today!!

scotty 18-02-2018 07:31 PM

Is that 225/45/18 tyres you have fitted to your FSTI .
