You need to get a good ECU Nige ;)

Its not the ECU thats the problem mate. Take a look in the staffroom.
|
I'm pulling ur pisser Nige and I have looked hahaha
|
Seems like this is a no-goer then i guess :(
I haven't booked yet on the off-chance that this might happen.... maybe we'll sort something for later in the summer. |
This morning I've just been able to re-arrange my business trip for that week so I could go along. Typical timing!
What I might do now is book for the day as it's better value if funds allow. |

Luckily the other car runs on normal unleaded so it's been easier to get hold of rather than being tied to v-power with the scoob. |
The big A runs on 95ron? ! :EVO:

My Sister & her Husband had booked a flight from Canada and they were landing at 7.10pm on Tue 17th April. We were then collecting them from Heathrow and I booked a hotel in London where the 4 of us were going to stay the night before heading down Cornwall the following day.
I made out I had an important meeting on 17th when I heard about Brands so they changed their flight to 19th. I've cancelled the mini bus but couldn't change hotel date so I lost about £400 there, but other than that all is cool :) |
Clive,
Really sorry if this is the reason for you being left out of pocket so badly. Unfortunately its just a shame when trying to organise these things that we get the ball rolling and get a good sized list, then everyone drops out. Tried to drum up support at the Chailey meet (as you know) but seemed i was fighting an uphill battle :( I've still booked the day off work and could still do it, but think its best to try and rearrange it for another time if theres only 2 of us (its not like my scoob will offer you any competition either!). Like you say, guess we'll all have to save it for the Ring! |
Really :sadno: everyone is dropping out., although not on track was going to be there as one of the few times work and events dont clash and it`s just down the road for me
|
Don't be sorry Steve.
It's all bull5hit :) I was trying to make Nige feel bad :yeah: |
You're a sod sometimes mate, i proper fell for that

Perhaps another of those? |

That got a great amount of interest, but that was partially due to the photoshoot we did on track i guess. Will reassess things after Germany and see whats what. |

when you finally want it sorted properly Nige, let me know ;) ;) :D :p

although I gest, I am also serious, bring it over to surrey for a power run and I will detcan check it and discuss the dyno plots for nothing, you will just need to pay charlie for a powerrun..
Simon |
Very generous & a fantastic offer. Still no petrol of choice at this end though. JRM have also put a lock code on the ecu??
|
I was suggesting detcans and a couple of dyno pulls to see if it is safe.
Lock code makes no odds for that. If its not safe then options need to be sorted from that point. |
Come on Nige , you bottled it

Turns out I was the only person to book at Brands from this forum according to Stuart at MSV. :EVO: |

My first year at the ring, Nige came for a passenger lap to give me directions. He called a flat left ahead.... track went right  |

I would only get in Niges car if Ali was driving it!
:drive: |

But i'm not going to go nuts out there, much rather enjoy the trip and keep the car in one piece! |
Agree.......... I had Neil sitting besides me on my first lap and its well worth it.
You should be in the 9's surely Steve ?? Neil estimated my first lap in the mid 9's and to be totally honest we were pottering about around many parts. |

Nige.............. remember last year at The Ring when you and I went to fill up at that garage at the end of those real tight twisty lanes ?
Well I must admit your car did look impressive around the bends mate. I have driven an Evo 7, 8 & 10 and they are better in the bends to the point you need to be pretty brave finding the limits unless on an RAF apron or similar. I prefer Scoobz purely down to the raw feel and driver input required in the bends but I do understand why guys like the Evos as the trick electronics that sort out the bends are impressive and in your case makes a bloke who hasn't got a clue what he is doing in the driving seat look really good. :-P Fudge <--------- expecting a mouth full about the closing sentence :more: |
Ha! Ha! so funny. Hasnt that type r of yours got a diff controler then? Ive only in the last 3 weeks put the ecu back in that runs the ayc. So for the last 2 year's it was just an open diff nothing special. All the Scoobs you buy now have got trick diffs & the rest. So ive decided to join in.
Nige.............. remember last year at The Ring when you and I went to fill up at that garage at the end of those real tight twisty lanes ? Well I must admit your car did look impressive around the bends mate. Not a clue what your on about. If you were still with me i cant of been trying :more: <--------- expecting a mouth full about the closing sentence to! |
Anyway im not into trivial matter's as to who can or cant do whatever. I will at some point be sat in a Vantage V12 just listening to pure unstressed performance. Now thats what i call 1st class. I want pics, vids & sound especially when i go in this. Errrrrmmm Gregs other car dont look to bad eighther dose it?
