Operation Granby sounds cool but no it's not, it came from the road i used to live in
|
I think we should organise an "Operation Granby", and carry it out in the road you used to live in. It might be quite noisy!
|
thread title should also be changed to 'operation granby', if only I had the power:wink:
Its been far too long, must have done something else by now:mrgreen: |
Me and Martyn don't actually know how to change thread titles.
We had a visit from the "spelling Police" last night to tell us how we had mis-spelt Nurburgring. But we can't seem to change the titles. There is however a potentially massive op coming up? :drive::drive::drive: |
Nope, looks ok to me:-P N U R B U R G R I N G, who would spell it with an 'E';-)
|
Ooooh ..... errrrrr I dunno

Well it seems we may have finally sorted out the running issues I've had with the car lately, Simon (JGM) came round yesterday to switch the lambda sensor back on after i changed it
When we were driving he noticed that it was reading lean all the time (was reading rich last time) and he didn't want to leave it like that as the ECU would probably want to chuck in a load of fuel to compensate After a bit of head scratching i suggested could the old CEL fix that was fitted by Xtreme Scoobies a few years back when i first had a decat be the problem as this was a resistor across 2 of the wires leading to the ECU Simon removed the resistor and rejoined the wires and away we went again and now the lambda sensor was changing from rich to lean to rich etc as it should be The car now drives a lot better and now does actually idle without any hunting so fingers crossed it's all sorted I would like to say a big thank you to Simon for his patience in dealing with this issue and hopefully the next time i see you will be for a bit more power (meths) |
Ian, this is the foglamp intake I was looking for;

Hmmmmm !!
The 555 Wagon Squadron Legal Eagles have agreed to take on the case of Pilot Officer "Stealthy" Mitchell v. Captain X. The issue for the prosecution being that, although outranked by Captain X (known as Mr X for these purposes, but we all know who he really is), Pilot Officer Mitchell is entitled to "severe personal freedom" in the choice of thread titles, when communicating with all ranks equivalent and above. The Defence will argue that, because this thread could be read by more lowly members of the Squadron, such as members of the Tactical Mayhem Team, that the above case for the prosecution does not apply. Air Vice Marshall Sir Compostable Punnet will hear both sides of the case tomorrow. Reporters from the 555 Wagon Squadron Press Office will be on hand to sensationalise the case as required. We understand that Fl Lt Cynthia Sharpley will be on hand to faint in the public gallery as any pre-determined verdict is read out. |
Sorry M'lud , I shall start mounting my d'fence:-( (although last time I mounted d'fence I got a nasty splinter):getmecoat: |
"Air Vice Marshall Sir Compostable Punnet!" FPMSL :rofl::rofl:

OK a bit of a update, went to Surrey rolling road today to have a tweak by Simon (JGM), since the last time i was there I've put in new spark plugs and a new fuel pump (walbro hi flow) which seemed to have cured a problem i had that i thought was down to the Simtek, last time it was remapped it made 434bhp & 380ft lbs
This time we got 444bhp & 385ft lbs on just V power but with a 15% methanol mix with V power it went up to 470bhp & 415ft lbs at 1.7 bar :D I would like to say a big thank you to Simon for his mapping skills and putting up with all my emails over the last couple of months  New fuel pump against the old walbro 255lt pump http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...y/DSC00381.jpg |
What make & size is the new pump?
