Shame it's not going to the Ring with that lot on!:drive:

Hongkongfooi 28-03-2014 07:21 PM

Suspension fitted today by Brent. Car feels like new and has an aggressive geo put on. Car is slightly lowered too, so much so that the mudflaps are likely to be taken off.
Possibly the best setup I've had on a car going by the limited driving so far.

Thanks Brent :ok:

simba 28-03-2014 08:02 PM

Thanks Steve. Next up is fit a replacement gearbox I bought off joe. This will have a completion stage 4 clutch, lightened flywheel and short shift fitted at same time.
I need some small bodywork issues sorted at some stage as got a couple of bubbles showing on one rear wheel arch.

I'm doing in stages without the need to use a credit card this time:whistle:

Nice one, I would like to get a couple of things sorted on the wagon but like you want to avoid using my flexi-friend so I must resist for the time being

Hongkongfooi 23-05-2014 05:49 PM

ordered a couple of bits from rcm including baffled sump
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...psb77fb528.jpg

and eventually fitted this clutch to the 2nd hand gearbox i bought. turns out this replacement is even worse than the original and the seller isn't responding....ffs
stage 4 clutch...the one in there was standard at 385hp:paranoid:
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps0d810045.jpg

anyway decide to go 6 speed now and its ordered8-)

anyone need two grumbly 5 speed gearboxes then you know where I am:doh:

Lucky 23-05-2014 06:04 PM

That's a bugger Tim. Still a six speed will be nice and that way you only have to do it once... hopefully!.

bigemp 23-05-2014 06:37 PM

Thats a shame about the replacement gearbox Tim was the guy not local did he give any guarantees it was all ok before you bought it???, but 6speed will be awesome in it

It was a new guy on here joe. He said he had never fitted it before:whistle: seemed genuine when Ron and I went round but won't contact me back. I guess that's the expensive risk we take buying 2nd hand

Lucky 24-05-2014 09:27 AM

Thats a shame if he's still on here and not responding. Not Cricket that.:-|

It is a chance but when you buying from a fellow local forum member(unlike scoobynet or the good old facebook selling pages) you would hope they would be legit and honest, but when you get no contact back it only says one thing they knew it was f**cked in the first place

scotty 24-05-2014 03:07 PM

I recon you should go round do a recce , sit and wait for him coming home a give it back to him and get your money back as that is out of order doing that to a fellow member we are here to help each other out .

scotty 27-05-2014 10:31 AM

How does the P1 perform with the Eibach coilovers Tim and did you buy camber bolts as well .

Really like the coilovers. Didn't buy camber bolts as having the coilovers means more camber could be dialled in anyway

scotty 27-05-2014 02:09 PM

Good to hear still can't decide as there are so many out there just after a good set with a good firm ride but still keeps it planted to the road .

Subaru Collector 555 30-05-2014 09:50 PM

Looking nice there mate, I just need to find one similar aswell

Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.
