Gee thanks ha ha ha

scotty 06-11-2015 08:51 PM

Just needs a touch up on the wheel .

Steve_PPP 06-11-2015 09:51 PM

Oh what a pain in the backside mate. Lepsons will be able to sort that easily enough, just doesn't make it any less painful on the wallet! :(

Sod's law - and I got in touch with speedline - they only have the graphics for "speedline corse" not the flow forming as it's printed in Italy when the wheels are made - although I could buy a new wheel - £252+del....

Might pop over to lepsons tomorrow - a mobile repairer would be more convenient as not whole wheel needs respraying so no need for acid dip really...

Will investigate tomorrow...

asperformance 07-11-2015 08:19 AM

Ryan we have dealt direct with Speedline for years so "may" be able to assist with costs...........

speak soon

Rdlangy1 08-11-2015 02:35 PM

Hi Alyn,

Thanks - will bare that in mind :ok:

Rdlangy1 19-11-2015 07:07 AM

small update - got prices for wheel refurb in new year - and also prices from Alyn for ID 1000cc Injectors. Still undecided on Turbo - MD321T vs Precision Turbo.

Both good for 450bhp - which "should" be enough considering I drive at a whopping 30-40mph most of the time :-)

Prob order the injectors first, then turbo in Feb which gives me time to decide which one would best suit my budget and the car.

Then get map tweaked..

Ginola 19-11-2015 07:50 AM

Id1000's are overkill for 450 unless your planning to go for more later on?:???::whistle:

Hi Dave,

As much as I would like to say I was planning more - I doubt it...

The costs start really jumping up with having to change internals and engine parts e.t.c. so not really my plan.

What would you recommend? 800cc?

Kind Regards

Ryan :ok:

scooby doo 19-11-2015 05:05 PM

740's be far enough .sc46???? I remember when mine was mapped by Simon, at 340/340 it was brilliant so a 450 would be crazy lol

Rdlangy1 19-11-2015 05:12 PM

Mines 330 at mo :ok:

scooby doo 19-11-2015 09:14 PM

I know to keep it cheaper magic 400 is a cheaper goal on a bug.
Jgm adviced me
Injectors ,
Sc40
Along with me prodrive pump, panel filter and full 3in decatted system,
As the stock airbox and top mount are fine at this level so does make it cheaper if that helps but if 450 is the goal awesome! One fast bug!!!

Forgot I had rcm headers and up pipe that's why Simon thought I was able to reach 343hp on vf35

Some de-capped wrx blues will do the job they flow circa 800cc/840cc though sold by some as 660's + get them flow matched and cleaned (or get ones that are already) will save you a fair few ££.

Id go for The MD321H or T if it was me depending on target power, Although the Blouch turbos Scoobyclinic sell are rated by some.

It might also be worth looking into turbotechnics T36 though it seems its a bit of a work in progress with enginetuner at the mo, seems to spool well and make good power, and sells for quite a bit less too

Rdlangy1 20-11-2015 05:48 AM

Was def looking at MD321T :ok:

asperformance 20-11-2015 08:20 AM

de-capped injectors will never have the refinement of the likes of ID1000's IMO which will work perfectly at idle and low throttle openings

if you want something smaller then you could look at the DW range

Never had an issue with decapped Wrx injectors other than its limited me to just over 600hp

scotty 20-11-2015 02:01 PM

Im going to be saving for a sc42 i think .

Rdlangy1 13-05-2016 11:22 AM

Well revisiting this a little:
Car goes to have all the service work done prior to the Ring tomorrow -
- Spark Plugs
- Oil
- Oil Filter
- Diff Oil
- Gearbox Oil
- Air Filter
- Brake Fluid
- Brake Calliper Re-seal kits x4
- Coolant replacement
- General check of nuts / bolts/ suspension bits e.t.c.
- Coilover check / adjustement / THROW IN THE BIN !!!! pmsl !

Then on Friday next week the car is off to Richard @ FB Tuning to have the map checked / redone depending on what is found.

Lets hope nothing major comes up :ok:

Rdlangy1 15-05-2016 03:33 PM

Well service all went fine -suspension re-tightened up and aligned, and that should last for a few weeks - hopefully!

Everything changed and ready to go :ok:

He's a great guy, met him a few times when he has been with Dave and is very very helpful. Should be coming to meet on Sunday.

Ginola 20-05-2016 10:10 PM

Glad your happy with the results :)

Rich is always more than helpful and I do not know a more knowledgeable chap when it comes to all things Subaru... (or motorbikes and bicycles come to think of it!)
