LOL, more a case of lucky ain't buying any old ****! which there is a lot of at the moment. Some peoples idea of a good car just ain't mine. Was a shame about that silver classic though. Seen the type ra, but its not really for me. I know technically its a better car but I would rather have something more original, like the other classic. I am quite enjoying the hunt though at the moment.

Scott.T 21-01-2013 10:05 PM

He wants a project that he can put his stamp on. You know like.....make it look just like an RB320

That's why I like the silver one. Thought I could paint it grey and make It look like an RB5

Scooby_Greg 22-01-2013 07:53 AM

Steve, I spent 9 months looking for my last blob so I wouldn't worry too much!

Anger 22-01-2013 01:02 PM

There is no such thing as a typeR RA...

I dont think it helps that one minute i want a blob, then the next, a classic. I will be when the right thing turns up I guess.

Mmmmm... did a bit of research and I think you are right James. Only RA's according to 'the history' are 4 door. 2's are R's. Though he says its unusual and not many made, but then goes on to say 1000, which adds up with 4 door RA's??

Anger 22-01-2013 01:11 PM

Join the RA site, there shoot the car down

Anger 22-01-2013 01:12 PM

It's just a Vltd, a few mates have had them

Thats alot of power on what sounds like a standard engine.
I was going to say "I would be suprised if Simon remembers the car as he does so many". But he would remember that one running those wheels :vom::vom:

ScoobyStu 23-01-2013 09:14 PM

When I had mine mapped by JGM recenty I asked him about upgrading mine and he said about a few people he knew who were running that sort of power on standard lumps. Can't be too many so I'd assume he knows the car quite well on that basis......Agree the wheels would help jog the memory!

Red Baron 27-01-2013 05:05 PM

Just driven past Garage on the Green and that Silver Classic is still there although its in the garage rather than on the forecourt.

SpecB 27-01-2013 05:25 PM

The Spec C looks a lovely car! The Blob also looks good, running 440 on 20% Meth probably isn't too bad.

It's 482hp on 20% meth

SpecB 27-01-2013 05:40 PM

Ok maybe that's a bit much on std internals!

RobEvo5 30-01-2013 08:52 AM

Hate to cash in on someone when they are down on there luck... But This fella sounds desperate, and open to all and any offers for consideration.

Good spec and car looks nice - Blob Widetrack STI.

Ha ha - I hope not. I thought it looked a good spec for the money, although I suspect more than Steve is looking to spend.

XRS 30-01-2013 06:11 PM

A lot more than he wants to spend, I suspect.

But it's got a lot of tourque ;)

RobEvo5 30-01-2013 06:58 PM

Very narrow power band though with 500bhp within 1000rpm. Fun on the quartermile, but nghtmare to live with day to day.. and horrid to drive IMO

Lucky 30-01-2013 07:47 PM

Thanks guys, yep, a bit more than i can spend at the moment. Just had a shocker of a tax bill which I half expected :brickwall:, and which is partly why I haven't jumped for a couple of the blobs that had cropped up at the 7/8k mark.

So, saving again, and in the meantime if a tempting classic comes up will look at that.

ralliart didz 31-01-2013 12:08 AM

check the bargain thread lucky lol, might be a cheap bargain for you to take on your ring trip. ;-)

Scooby_Greg 03-02-2013 09:41 AM

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-Subar...60968283550%26

I know its a fugly and its only a WRX and the mileage is a bit high but i think its a bit of a bargain. Looks very clean and original, FSH. Stick it in Intelligent mode and you'll get well over 30 mpg out of it.
Something to consider anyway.

ralliart didz 05-02-2013 04:10 PM

here you go lucky says its 1 of a 100,dont no if thats true or not http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-SUBAR...item19d8a9f8a7
