I don't know about that.

The less time on the M25 the better!

Once set off for Dan's from Banstead an hour after a chap from Epsom and arrived an hour before him.

He went on the M25 & M3, whereas I went on the A3, A31 and A331.

Extreme example, but it's always put me off!

Nope, just east of the A3.
As the services are accessible from both sides of the m/way, you can effectively use the services turn-off as an extra junction on the motorway... so can approach from the west and return west for example without going down to J9.

Rdlangy1 04-07-2014 08:22 AM

For those meeting at the M25 Cobham services, we aim to be there at 8:15am (to leave by 8:30am).

Was impressed with my own car considering its only got a back box and air filter (nothing done by me I might add - 281.1 hp (yes the .1 is important!) :ok: - more pleased that its running spot on, which means I have a great base to start from...

Was also fantastic to meet Big E, Steve PPP, Red Baron, Lucky, Wagon Si and Wagon Jo (nice cake!), Silver Surfer, and the others guys whom im sorry but im no good with names :-(

Great bunch of people, and considering it was my first meet up with you all - you were all very kind. And thanks for showing my mate Sean courtesy aswell considering he was in a nissan ha ha ha :-)

Ill get posting the pics up now - if anyone wants vids emailed of their motors on the rollers, I think I got everybodies, drop me a PM with your email addy.

Missed you all, yeah he is the boss but had no choice on this once with peeps being away. Dave has been a bit down over it. How did you all do?

Rdlangy1 05-07-2014 04:28 PM

281.1 - was shocked beyond belief !!! :-)

Was great to meet everyone too...

Red Baron 05-07-2014 04:59 PM

Good to meet you Ryan, glad you were happy with your results, Seans 200sx was nice as well, need to bring your friends R33 as well next time.

More than happy with my 251bhp and 260ish ft/lb considering such minor mods.

Next job is to flush the clutch fluid as cooked it sitting in traffic on the A21, stupid idea to put the resevoir above the turbo.

andy-m 05-07-2014 05:17 PM

was good to meet everyone, but as this is probably only the 3rd SES meet I have been able to come to since I joined, there was only a few faces I recognized !

I got 274.1bhp but wouldn't rev over 5500RPM, so i guess i'll have to come to the next rolling road day after i've fixed that little problem.

555_Si 05-07-2014 05:27 PM

Good day thanks guys, and thanks for the happy birthday.

Disappointed with the 256 that my golf did, but confirmed what I thought in Germany. Happy with jo's jag at 158 with 275 ft lb. I can't imagine what they are like remapped as I thought it may have been done already.

Rdlangy1 05-07-2014 05:29 PM

I think I should have a rolling road birthday!!! Ha ha - nice cake too ;-)

Traffic was bad on way home weren't it....yeah Sean was pleased and I'll try and get Jason to bring the r33 next time :ok:

Have you done anything to the Golf?

Sounds about right if not, maybe slightly up on standard... thought they were 245ish.

Yeah it has been remapped, decatted, milltek exhaust and has seen 276bhp on Charlies rollers when not running right before and 288bhp on other rollers, we think it has cams, but I have a set of cams here to go in it, which I will probably look at now, as I am going to replace the head with a ported and flowed one and get it remapped again.

i'm thinking maybe my maf is old, also going to check compression when I get time.

Glad you had a good day mate. Everyone on here, that I've met anyway, is nice and friendly, it's a great community we have. Nice figures, let the slippery slope of modifications begin ;-)

Ah, okay. Sounds like a good opportunity to do a bit more to it, just to make sure.

I'm quite interested in the R32. Been thinking about getting one!

Ginola 05-07-2014 07:47 PM

Glad you all had a good one, sorry once again I couldn't make it, really disappointed.. I will sort something sooner or later!

See you all soon.

Rdlangy1 05-07-2014 08:21 PM

Agreed! And figures were great considering it's only got a back box (that I know of!)

scooby doo 05-07-2014 08:52 PM

Ahhhh bad luck bud - but every cloud has a silver lining! Sweet evo ;-)

Scott.T 05-07-2014 10:36 PM

Twas a good day and nice to meet a few new peeps.
Most people went away happy and those that had issues at least found out.
They just need to find out why.
Better to be diagnosed 'not healthy' for £35 then suffer the consequences of an unknown/underlying issue.

Lucky 06-07-2014 09:06 AM

Great morning and good to see/meet everyone.

Really pleased with mine at 277 bhp considering it's totally standard and at least now I know it's running well and is a good base for further mods as I had no clue where it was power wise.

Thanks to Charlie and cj too:doubleup:

Rdlangy1 06-07-2014 09:14 AM

Did love ur scoob in black lucky... Don't think u can beat a black car :yeah:

EXEVO3 06-07-2014 11:41 AM

Sounds like a great day.....good figures there....so who made the most ponys...?:)

Steve_PPP 06-07-2014 06:55 PM

Nice morning out even if I couldn't bring the scoob. Scoobydoo - wondered why you didn't show but a bust cv joint is a fair excuse ;)

Was good to meet some more members too :)
