Nope, scoobs love the cold but hoping it'll be dry. Bit of a risk at this time of year, but then we wouldn't get a 3 hr open pit session for £75 in the middle of summer ;)

Moley_WRX 21-11-2010 07:19 PM

Will it'll be cold.... and white.... apparently

admin 21-11-2010 10:27 PM

Steve_PPP 21-11-2010 11:29 PM

Hongkongfooi 23-11-2010 02:50 PM

Come and freeze with sim and me!

Claire_PPP 27-11-2010 10:38 PM

I'll be going along to watch and take piccies (or go for a few passenger laps if it's really cold)... fingers crossed for no snow! I'll be well miffed if I've booked the day off work (and the following two days for xmas shopping) only to be stuck at home! :angst:

Give the gas pedal a bit of stick over the next few days and maybe it'll swing this 'global warming' malarkey in our favour!

I 'should' be there all being well, but not 100% sure yet

Scooby_Greg 29-11-2010 12:07 PM

Steve,
Very glad you suggested the pm session - I think the am session will be tricky with the current forecast. Anyone with alot of power and rwd will have an interesting day!

If we're going to get snow, it looks like its due tonight/tomorrow morning.

I'll give MSV a bell tomorrow lunchtime to see if they've had anything at Brands (and if so, how much, likelihood of cancellation etc).

Gary - will call you tomorrow as well :ok:

Hongkongfooi 29-11-2010 11:03 PM

just seen the forecast.....its not looking good for you i'm afraid:sos:

well worse case scenario is that its cancelled - MSV will refund or transfer the booking to another date where possible.

Moley's said that the track insurance through him is refundable with a letter from ClubMSV to prove it was cancelled, so not majorly out of pocket.

We'll just have to wait and see i guess (he says, as it starts to snow in Burgess Hill  )

Moley_WRX 30-11-2010 11:37 AM

Looking unlikely i'd say

Steve_PPP 30-11-2010 11:51 AM

Agreed.

Just spoke to someone at ClubMSV and they said they were going to go and take a look at the circuit in the next hour or so - and all people registered for the sessions will get an email shortly after to let them know if its happening or not.

Just have to keep an eye on the old mailbox now, but my guess is it'll be cancelled.

Steve_PPP 30-11-2010 11:57 AM

Just seen that someones linked some Brands pictures from Twitter - i'd say its not happening!

drifting weather methinks:whistle:

kartingsteve 30-11-2010 12:37 PM

It's OFF just had a E mail .

Steve_PPP 30-11-2010 12:53 PM

Yep, its officially cancelled :(

Those people who were booked will have received an email with a credit note to the same value (£75, plus any extras that were booked at the same time).

SES will be organising the event for another date in the future when the snow has gone - hopefully if its slightly warmer then we'll get a few more numbers as well.

Thanks to those who comitted to coming along

Other things to note:
- The person at ClubMSV i spoke to said the discount vouchers will be valid for a year.
- You should be able to phone them to get a letter of cancellation to try and get a refund on any trackday cover you may have purchased.

Claire_PPP 30-11-2010 01:33 PM

Booooooo! I'd bought thermal socks and everything! :wife:
