Very smart

Granby 10-11-2017 03:14 PM

Did a bit of work today on the ute, took the fogs off as one of them was half full of water (ordered a set from Aus), sprayed the power steering cooler satin black, tidied a few things up and changed the mesh on the grille to a finer one (kept the rusty screws though :-D)

Good stuff, how was it removing and refitting the front bumper, some never like to go back on as nicely as they were before you took them off.

Wasn't to bad to remove (7 screws, 2 bolts & 2 clips), it never seemed to be a 100% good fit in the first place (Holden quality control ), refitting wasn't a major problem :-D

A little update on the small problem of the supercharger belt coming off on the way to Germany, had it replaced today and found out the bolt holding the pulley on had broken so the pulley was working it's way loose, hence why the belt started to jump a few teeth, might of made a bit of a mess if the pulley had decided to come off completely  but because i was advised to cut the belt off everything was ok (apart from only running about 400bhp )

Rdlangy1 21-06-2018 04:46 PM

Only 400bhp

Glad it was found and sorted Ian and nothing went horribly wrong out in Germany...

:ok:

Was wondering how you got on with that! Are the bolts prone to breaking? Glad to hear its sorted

Did running without a supercharger flash up any CEL’s?

No nothing at all as the ecu doesn't know a supercharger is fitted anyway, my mechanic did say it may be worse on fuel and just normal driving around mpg was worse but on the trip home at around a steady 80-90mph it was doing great mileage :-D

Granby 03-10-2018 12:48 PM

Been a while since i've updated this thread or done anything to the Ute but i have a package, any guesses what it is :-D

So you have unwrapped a parcel of noise (and fumes) in other words.

Rdlangy1 03-10-2018 05:30 PM

Bet that will sound epic !!!

Granby 13-10-2018 04:37 PM

Had the decats fitted today, no problems apart from 8 lovely rusted nuts & bolts  surprisingly they didn't make a big difference to the sound but it does feel smoother

Thought this might be a bit too loud

Yeah it might be a bit louder but nothing major, although it did have sports cats anyway

Granby 19-01-2019 03:01 PM

OK time for a bit of a update, the fueling issue has finally been sorted and the Ute is running spot on, had it mapped at SRR by Luis Sola (so now it's sola powered :-D) from Australia via the interweb, the Ute is a lot smoother but wasn't really able to try out the power today due to damp roads and lots of traffic

Those curves look so smooth - can’t wait to supercharge mine (although will be nowhere near 600!)

That’s a little bit insane! V8 power really is where it’s at, supported by the fact I watch so much Roadkill and Engine Masters

scotty 19-01-2019 09:32 PM

Be able to do longer 11's :-D

scooby doo 19-01-2019 11:44 PM

Graph looks lovley, very linear curves.

Granby 06-09-2020 06:25 PM

Rdlangy1 06-09-2020 06:26 PM
