I'll pop over and say hello, but unfortunately I'll be in the car park. The damage the funny blue one got the night before leeds castle still hasn't been fixed, so it doesn't seem right to put her on the stand.

More than welcome to join us, the scuff really didn't look that bad at Leeds Castle....

Still have spare stand passes so you could pay on the gate if you wanted to ;)

Your Scuff can't be any worse than my rear arches, we can hide at the back together :-)

Martin Short will run a Mosler in the Time Attack...

But doesn't that smack in the face what Time Attack is all about i.e Saloon cars running 600-900BHP

Would the FIA GT Championships accept GobStopper2, it's got a G and a T in the name ?

Red Baron 05-11-2014 09:21 PM

I've seen the Moslers on the Indy circuit, they don't really get to stretch their legs, to be honest they looked a bit cumbersome on such a short track.

C. J. 06-11-2014 01:43 PM

Won't be going first thing now so have hopefully texted you Steve PPP . If I can collect tonight or tomorrow it would be good .

Bloody hell that's early. I thought you were meeting just of the M25 for 8:00, not 7:00.

IMHO the Time Attack organisers are taking the piss asking for everyone to be on site so early.
Last year most of the attendee's were club/display stands with very little public entry. So they could probably push this out to allow entrance upto 10:00-10:30. Especially as this year it's going into darkness.

On second thoughts as traffic should be light.

Let's make it 07.10 depart then . :ok:

7:45am meeting, not 8am ;)

And that's 15 mins later meeting than last year too. I'm sure some clubs will still be rolling in at 9am but they'll have spent a whilst queuing i expect. I've also been advised that its going to be pretty tight on space to get everyone in on the tarmac area (grass will be a bog) so good to get in before other clubs 'stretch' their boundaries if you know what i mean.

I agree its an early start considering the final races are later this year, but i'm not sure how many people will still be there at that time. Forecast is sunny for the morning, but wet in the afternoon from 2-3pm onwards.
http://www.myweather2.com/Motor-Raci...it.aspx?sday=2

So I reckon quite a few will start to leave after that if it properly hacks it down!

BIG"E" 06-11-2014 07:22 PM

Forecast is looking better..

Just seen this on FB, looks like we're opposite the Drift Taxis, hope the wind is blowing the opposite direction to last year, not too sure about our neighbours either.

Ginola 07-11-2014 12:08 PM

Nice and near for breakfast at least :)

Red Baron 07-11-2014 12:19 PM

There is that, I notice that GTROC, MLR and P1WOC/Scooby City have the prime spots on the hard standing at the top of the circuit again.

Scott.T 07-11-2014 12:54 PM

Mine will be in the public car park then.
I'm not having it covered in grit/rubber and stinking of rubber/fumes for the journey home.
Stood there last year and lasted about 5 minutes before I had to leave.

Clearly we are not 'in with the right' people as P1 and MLR have been their position for 3 years or so, even with smaller numbers.

Moley_WRX 07-11-2014 01:06 PM

I hope our bonnets don't become seats for those watching the drift taxi's

Scott.T 07-11-2014 01:07 PM

If anyone wants my 'early bird' ticket it's up for grabs as a freebie.
Sick son, second son returning knackered from a pgl weeks camp and now the above means I will evaluate the situation on the morning and buy a public ticket if required.

Moley_WRX 07-11-2014 01:13 PM

I can't see how we're going to fit 18/19 cars in that small area.
There are 21 on the MLR and their area seems twice the size

Red Baron 07-11-2014 01:15 PM

If there's any problems we can all just pack up and leave and move the cars to the public mud bath.

We can always put the sacrificial Evo and Supra at the front to protect the others :norty:

I won't be on the stand or Scott so that'll give more room , I'd speck to Michelle and get on their stand if it was me . Not a place I'd want to park my car .
Sorry

Scott.T 07-11-2014 01:42 PM

P1/Scoobycity have 14 registered.
Speak to these guy's and move up there.

scotty 07-11-2014 02:12 PM

I think it's JACK when we are one of the biggest clubs around and we should be up were the MLR/P1 stands are .

Anger 07-11-2014 02:13 PM

All this doom and gloom before you have even got there pmsl

Anger 07-11-2014 02:15 PM

GTROC and MLR do all the modified Live events, not just the one local like us, so I can see why they get a good spots

Moley_WRX 07-11-2014 02:33 PM

I'll definately be sticking on the SES stand

riiidaa 07-11-2014 02:43 PM

I can't use my ticket and car pass, as i can't make it now.

SO if anyone wants it...

Yep, unfortunately that is the case - we only attend one of their events per year as we're not a national club, so we don't have the biggest amount of clout when it coming to picking the best spots.

The location doesn't look great but there's not a lot I can do to influence where we get put, other than asking nicely!

Just to throw some more positivity into the thread ;) I won't be in the scoob as its still got a problem. Looks like the Mondeo ST or my mates 306 GTI-6 (if the gazebo fits in it!).

riiidaa 07-11-2014 02:51 PM

nah, he just got back to me Steve

C. J. 07-11-2014 03:16 PM

I may be coming in the scoob now !
