Banstead Stig 13-10-2013 03:26 PM

Good to meet some of you today. Bit of a shame it was as wet as it was, but still a good little event I thought.

Some interesting cars there and we got a good look at the underside of Concorde if nothing else. :D

555_Si 13-10-2013 03:54 PM

SamSTI 13-10-2013 05:48 PM

Good to see everyone that came today, shame about the weather but was a good laugh none the less.

555_Si 13-10-2013 06:47 PM

steve, claire, jo and i were the last to leave i think and they hadn't started the hill climb, i almost jumped into the briefing but thought better of it.

bang. 13-10-2013 06:49 PM

I await your pics :ok:

Steve_PPP 13-10-2013 07:01 PM

Weather was pretty shocking wasn't it. Thanks to those that did make it - we ended up with 6 scoobs in the end. They started running the hill about 2:30pm but Simon/Jo and Claire/I were the last to leave as they were just setting it up. Tbh, the hill looked pretty bumpy and narrow to be hooning up there, considering a river running down it lol

No not really. Its not really usable - steep and covered in wet mould, and pretty bumpy too. Its showing the signs of its age!

The guy who showed us in had kittens at the sight of you turning on the banking. He would have exploded if we had driven on it properly!!

As we were leaving, there was nobody around so Simon parked up high on the banking for some photos. They must have some CCTV up there somewhere as it was only a couple of minutes before two guys came along in a golf buggy and made us leave the banking area completely (despite the fact that they parked us up there in the first place).

One of them mentioned that they've had car clubs park on the banking before and one car has slid down the bank on the green wet slimey stuff straight into another car.... guess they're a bit Health & Safety worried. :(

Well done to those who went for it, still looked like a good day. As expected, I spent the day bolted to the bog. Not good.
