I was really disappointed it was cancelled, but after just taking me over 5 hours to get back from London I'm now pretty glad!!

lol, yeah not surprised! Facebook seems to be full of people having nightmare journeys round London - by road and train! No more snow round here at the moment - only an inch or two in burgess hill! don't know what all the fuss is about ;)

We'll sort out another Brands trackday for sure soon :ok:

Took me 7 hours to get home from work

Thats a serious ****ter mate! :(

I saw the thread on s/net about peoples journeys around M25/Croydon/Purley and the whole areas just looks screwed. Can't believe how much snow you must have had up there - when there's less than 2 inches in mid-sussex!

I dumped the car in Cheam after 2.5 hours and got the train (another 4.5 hours)

My mate is stuck on the A217, and has done less than a mile in 7 hours, so looks like i did the right thing.

I walked home from Sutton and have about 5-7 inches of snow here

I know there are some dates in january listed for Brands....any news of a re-jig of dates? I have my new pads bedded in now:ok:

Steve_PPP 23-12-2010 10:18 PM

Yep, i saw the January dates when i looked yesterday.

Currently thinking it might be wise to learn from the last experience and aim for March (or Feb at the earliest?). Last year we still had two heavy doses of snow in January, i have a feeling we haven't seen the last of it for this winter yet!

Hi sounds good

Steve_PPP 24-12-2010 12:42 PM

cheers Gary, completely missed that

Will have a look, seems a good idea to group up with a lot of other scooby owners :ok:

Assume they've got it booked as an exclusive SIDC thing though, its not showing as an open session on the MSV site.

Yep, it's a closed event just for the SIDC and MLR (so Nige should do it aswell!!!)

Will be lots of Evo's to play with.

Last year there were a few GTR's from the GTROC out there aswell

What would be better from a Novice point of view for a Trackday with the same brand or simular like the EVO be better or loads of other branded cars etc?

Fun factor I mean not whos got the biggest cock on the day etc.

Steve

My first track day was with the SIDC/MLR.

They have some VERY good instructors there on the day, and from looking at the MLR thread there are a few first timers going out.... so you won't be alone.

Doing a full day like this means you have no time pressure to get out there, as you have all day to pick and choose when you go out.
