I guess if you spoke to 100 guys who race the pressures would have a large scope. So many linked issues.

I still feel that lower pressures provide a better track balance. High pressures do make a huge difference regarding "turn ins" and powering out of tight corners.

Thanks Clive.
As you say large scope for people racing, type of tyres being used makes big diference.
Guy i was talking to uses cup tyres on his CSl and they are completely diferent.

Scott
Not out to set any records, cant afford to replace the M3 thats for bloomin sure. only i know from a fair few track days in the scoob that tyre pressure made such a diference, i got anal about it after a day at Bedford, car was ****e until a chat with a guy in a classic scoob, turned out i was running way too high pressures.
Having never run the M3 on track i'm after some feedback.

SUBARMAN 19-04-2010 09:12 AM

Might only do a few laps today, got to save the car for the Ring. And my new tyres will not be as scrubbed in as I would like. So if you see me pull off early, you'll know why.

Looking forward to a great day!!

I am in exactly the same position. Tyres only done 50 miles since I got them on. Might be a bit dodgy. But will get out there and get some piccies taken. So happy days.

Should remain dry according to what I have seen, we will be unlucky to see a shower.

Which is nice

Skullfudge 19-04-2010 09:42 PM

Yep agree with that, thanks for your efforts Worzel. Good stuff matey

A perfect way to spend an evening.

Nice to slowly learn who's who. Good chatting with you Anger. I always pictured you a the tall Swedish looking guy at the Pod that time lol. God knows who he was then ??
Glad you came and said hi Gary. Was good meeting you mate.

Thanks for your assistance Dyney . Good having you around mate :)

Who was in the Porsche 944 ? was it one of us ?
I hit Paddock Hill bend at a rate of knots, and at the apex I noticed the Porsche parked sideways across the bottom of the dip ! lol, nearly lost the P1 myself at that point.

Hongkongfooi 19-04-2010 09:45 PM

Very good evening...our 20 min session seemed to be over so quick! I was just getting into it and about to lap you all!:brickwall::norty:

Yes Mate,

You've no idea what it takes for me to do something like this evening with my history.

Thanks for being my pace man it was just what the doc ordered.:thanx::drive::drive:

Brakes are fine, (they do have a lot to do)

Thanks too, to Dyney for the advice..:five:

jay 19-04-2010 10:03 PM

Thanks All

Had a great time today with you all so thanks.

Much nicer to track with a like minded bunch who all respect their cars and each other. We must all do it again as the more of us, the safer the action. Plus a bargain at this price!!

Look forward to the next one. Perhaps next time though more other halves....that way i am thinking bras...hot pants....thigh high boots etc for the photos......max power type pics.

Thanks again

Jay and Tracy

Spooky 19-04-2010 10:19 PM

No worries, but you owe me a lap or two next time.... :wife:

Really good evening! From a spectators point of view, it was nice to see everybody giving each other a bit of space and a bit of respect - especially with the number of newbies on track. Good show guys! :five:

I tried to get at least a few pics of everyone, although I think I only got pics of the back half of Clive's car cos I couldn't track that quickly!

DukeBoy 19-04-2010 11:13 PM

Top afternoon/evening, cheers for sorting that Steve :10:
Car wasn't going to bad apart from brake fade about 3 laps into the first session, brake judder 2 laps into the second session. Oh well need an excuse for new discs.
Martyn the M3 was going very well , didn't really see anyone else going round but i'm sure you were are going well and enjoying it!!!
