Crowman you need to get a new system on yours, bit too quiet and stealthy!!:ninja:

A big hats off to everyone for making this a really good first SES track event.

For starters, thanks to Nick and his team at ClubMSV, the day went like clockwork with no problems along the way. I know you may do it all the time, but it made our day go really smoothly. Looking at the responses above we all had a great time, so thanks

Secondly, I would like to give a massive pat on the back to the guys who came for the photos and stayed on to watch the rest of the day. It was great to see you all there for the duration. This must include all the wives, partners and friends who came along as passengers, photographers etc.

Finally to everyone who took part on track, a big thumbs up to you all  No-one bit the bullet or had major problems and everyone seems to have had a really good day out at brands. Good job everyone.

As we said yesterday, this is the kind of thing that we want to do more of at SES and we will be looking to arrange something else for later in the year. This will probably be a half day open pit session (or similar) so this will be less restricted than the taster sessions. We will start looking into things when we get back from Germany. However, if you have any ideas for the future session, please let us know.

A great day, putting names and cars to faces, no traumas = Happy Days

mrs faney 20-04-2010 09:52 AM

thanks all for a good afternoon evening it was my first go out in the old girl she did ok i think except for when mr faney took her out and boiled the brake fluid and got the pads smoking and sparking so i have no brakes, but it was worth it and we dont have to go to cornwall in that damn astra

Good to see him out in a proper car (instead of an old Datsun!!!) ;-)

Crowman 21-04-2010 04:44 PM

Is it just me or has everyone got loads of melted tyre bits all over front of car.
Just taken bloomin ages to wash, remove and polish the car.

worzel 21-04-2010 05:04 PM

Mine was snotted in Rubber.

Steve_PPP 21-04-2010 06:06 PM

yep, me too. My tyres have started to cook as well - each tread block has a melted ridge on the outside edge where its started to bead under the heat..... glad i used my old wheels/tyres now!

You should have wandered over and introduced yourself.

The guy who smashed wasn't one of our guys fortunately.

The black one is CJ's, it's a beasty for sure.

Yeah I had a noise issue. I was tested at 105.5.

I think the £20 note sticking out the exhaust pipe may have worked :)

Sounds about normal

Skullfudge 23-04-2010 02:35 PM

Rubber on cars mainly down to being off the natural race line.
80% of shredded rubber is normally on outside of corners.

I didn't have any on the P1, mind you mud flaps & a recent polish & wax will also prevent rubber from sticking to cars.

Crowman 23-04-2010 02:47 PM

Mine was plastered due to some cock in a golf for 4 laps being all over the furkin place in front of me.

Have non on mine either but did not like to say
The £25 for instruction was well worth it

Crowman 23-04-2010 06:20 PM

I certainly won't stay stuck up the rear of anyone again, it's a bloomin bore having to get all the bits off your car.

DukeBoy 23-04-2010 07:48 PM

Well i was behind someone for one session observing there driving and i don't have any on mine

You will never have any rubber issues following another car.
The only way to get rubber all over yer car is by collecting it yourself :)
