Mate the car is looking Fantastic. If i ever got to drive your car it would be the fastest car ive been in. My car trying to keep up! Ha! the old Evo would not stand a cat in hells chance. The only way my car would pass yours is if you drove them both off a cliff. Keep going my friend it's not far off now. :drive:

good to see ya mate :)
my quad went today , so iv spent the money already ;) heated front screen, all the fuel ends to finish fuel systum, various quick realease catchs, manual brake compensator valve, an a car cover. I didnt work on it tonight, instead iv made a list (a big one at that) of all the things that need doing big or small just beacuse i find myself jumping from one thing to another all the time, so hopfully i can now tick off things as i go. |
Superb stuff Tone :10:

Get it!! :)
|
Got my fiberglass doors today (thanks brad) light is understatment!! about 2.5/3 kgs each standard are 20/25kgs lol
heated front winscreen is being fitted, removed a few bit to convert to a single wipe aswell :) The car is going away this weekend to one of my friends (alloy welder) the plan is to modifiy the FMIC by fliping it up upside down so the outlets are at the top then modify the end tanks so that the pipe works goes underneath each headlight, this is to shorten the pipe work as much as poss :) |
Mind those doors after what happened to Stews from the clinic and thats how Stews got his FMIC ;)
|
iam going to have them modded a bit as they are near see through lol, yer seen quite a few done now did scoobyducks the same, seams to work well :)

That looks okay but I would run it further forward too so that the change of angle is enclosed - otherwise it will work like the HTA rear mounted parachutes and just get ripped off. |
yup i did see thepotential prob of exhaust, was thinking i could mount it so it fits inside the diffuser ,dont rearly want a side exit. do you think that would interfear with air flow :S
when you say more forward, do you mean more under the car? do u think a steeper angle would be better? tone |
I moved my exit exit out through the bumper so as to avoid spoiling the line across the back and avoid cutting it. It also acts like a blown diffuser like the F1 boys have.
Yes extend it further forwards so that there is some flat section before it sweeps upwards. The angle is probably too steep as it is but depends on what wing/s you are using on the rear of the car and their proximity to the diffuser exit. If anything I would say make it shallower. |
cheers dunc will look in to that, maybe a side exit would be easier :)
The doors are completly bare no bolt holes for hinges catchs, handle, so iv started cutting doors about :) the edges still need triming, the body shop will be doing that. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/2c142725.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/d1097ee6.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/98c6976b.jpg |
It moves (not powered by engine lol),its now off the ramp an went away for some alloy welding at my friends workshop
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/f24b2ceb.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/bb9a4793.jpg finished modding the IC http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/18212a37.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/99717689.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/66bf8910.jpg |
finished cliping down the fuel lines, also started mounting the doors :)
