SES Meet - The Bull Inn, Henfield - Saturday 11th July

Short notice for July's monthly meet so apologies for that.

This month's meet will be at the Bull Inn, Henfield. We've had a couple of club meets here before but haven't been in over 4 years ago so time for a re-visit.

Postcode: BN5 9AD

This will be an evening meet, and hopefully the weather will be good as it had a nice pub garden last time we went.

The meet time is 5:30pm. We'll be in the car park round the back I expect.

The pub menu is largely pizza themed, but they do the usual pub grub as well (burgers, salads, pasta etc). :)

Just to add, the meet time is a little earlier for an evening meet but it lets us get in the car park before the evening rush. If its quiet those who want to eat can do so whenever they like, but if its busy we should be early enough to grab tables. :)

No good for me I'm afraid, out all day and won't be back in time.

C. J. 08-07-2015 08:37 PM

Working all day with Charlie . I'll see how the day pans out

Hongkongfooi 08-07-2015 09:42 PM

i'll see how things go in the day as quite busy. But ultimately still need to eat:oldman:

jay 08-07-2015 10:43 PM

Have to miss this one unfortunatley as running an all day tombola for our branch of The Royal British Legion with Trace - random I know but have a great meet.

Steve_PPP 10-07-2015 10:21 AM

Any more interest?

Weather is meant to be 22c and sunny tomorrow evening so I won't book tables as I expect we'll be out in the pub garden. :)

Ginola 10-07-2015 04:46 PM

I might kidnap hongkongfooi

Granby 10-07-2015 04:49 PM

Bytes 10-07-2015 05:12 PM

NL03Scooby 10-07-2015 07:05 PM

Sorry folks but eeerrrmmm........

And yes the accident was my fault, what a tit!

Happened a week and a half ago, no one hurt thankfully.

Granby 10-07-2015 07:12 PM

Oh **** sorry to see that :(

Consti 10-07-2015 07:17 PM

Oh no. 😟

SES Meet - The Bull Inn, Henfield - Saturday 11th July

Oh **** dude hope your ok :(((

NL03Scooby 10-07-2015 07:24 PM

I'm fine, in one piece, just very gutted about the car, sad times indeed but I hope to sort a replacement as soon as possible and begin a new adventure. I have learnt a huge amount since owning NL03, my first ever scoob, and met all you guys too! It's certainly in my blood now and not something I wish to stray from... Watch this space!

C. J. 10-07-2015 07:42 PM

As long as your ok that's all that matters 👍

Thanks C.J. That's the main thing

Hongkongfooi 10-07-2015 07:58 PM

Oh man that's ****. Looks a write off? At least you're alright

Scott.T 10-07-2015 08:02 PM

Glad your ok mate. Wave bye bye to that one and start over.
I hope the insurance company don't bend you over and let you take one.

Scott.T 10-07-2015 08:03 PM

Looks like the rear took some punishment too.

NL03Scooby 10-07-2015 08:08 PM

Yes... The back end got in an argument with a sign post too...

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07...9a2a79a61a.jpg

As you say, move on and start again, can't do anything about what has happened now to it's time to focus on the future.

It will be a write off Tim, think the engine has shifted on its mounts/twisted mounts on subframe (or something along those lines I guess), engine is dead too and rear end damage would require a huge amount of work to put right.

Red Baron 10-07-2015 08:24 PM

Glad everyone is ok Rob, I hadn't said anything to anyone, figured you'd let everyone know in your own time.

Maybe it's time to give a classic a try.

C. J. 10-07-2015 08:29 PM

I'd stay with a newage . You only have to look at the passanger cell to understand why :)
If you'd done that in a classic you may not have been so lucky .
Andy Forrest once said to me he would rather have 10 accidents in a newage than one in a classic

Thanks Shane, I knew you would speak about it. I knew the time would come to let everyone know what I had done, what had happened and the consequences. After letting it settle in a bit tonight seemed like as good a time as any. Like Scott said, move on and be thankful everyone was ok.

As for giving a classic a try, I'm not certain it's for me, but who is to say what could be in the future.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support.

Steve_PPP 10-07-2015 08:37 PM

Oh bugger mate, sorry to see that. Glad your OK and hope the insurance process is as painless as possible!

Hongkongfooi 10-07-2015 08:45 PM

go to the meet anyway Rob....you need a drink I reckon:tequila:

Red Baron 10-07-2015 08:49 PM

Must admit, if it was my daily driver I'd want something a little more refined as well. I commuted in mine for a week during the winter and hated it at the end of the week, dragged it out of the garage 2 weeks later, washed the filth off it and took it for a blast and remembered why I bought it, I couldn't have it as my only car.

BIG"E" 10-07-2015 09:29 PM

Holly crap !!:doh::doh:

Glad you are ok, was anything else involved ??

555_Si 10-07-2015 09:48 PM

all things happen for a reason i say, look at my one at Goodwood, never looked back really, just got to wait to finish mine.

glad you are ok, stick with newage if daily.

oh and come to the meet. do you want me to pop over and pick you up?

Bytes 10-07-2015 10:50 PM

Ouch  Good to hear you are OK. Hope you have no problems with the insurance etc ...

If you're free for the meet Rob, happy to drop you back to save Si doing the double run out to Uckfield if it helps :)
