Morning all been busy so apologies for not being on here for a while. Changed jobs now doing courier work with my better half whom I am now engaged to!

I am after some helovely with scooby as it needs head gaskets replacing I have been quoted 580 for labor but like everyone am wondering if anyone has a better price or could help for cash in hand? :-P

While it needs head gaskets your heads might need skimmed aswell so you will need to take that into consideration

Cash in hand?! Surely you've not come on to a public forum to implicate yourself in VAT evasion!

Is this tolerable on the site?

You're going to want to get both heads checked by a machine shop at least, false economy chucking a set of heads straight on. Don't think that's bad money wise but I'd be asking what's getting done

Plenty of members who can help pull the engine etc. as a 'favour' but in terms of skimming the heads that's a machine shop job! One option is to pull the engine yourself and then get one of the engine builders to do the HGs.
