Goodwood Revival 2017

Bought my tickets the other day for Saturday 9th September, haven't been for the last couple of years so made an effort to get tickets sorted early this year, especially as Saturday can sell out quickly when you consider it's 9 months away!

Thought I would bring this up to serve as a little 'nudge' to those of you who have been saying for the last few years you either haven't been before or haven't gone in a long time and want to make an effort to go, maybe this year can be the one time you actually sort it!

It is also vital to give yourself planning time for what to wear, joining in with the correct attire really adds to the whole experience. As I don't have a wardrobe full of tweed hats and jackets, yellow trousers and tan brogues I opt for a full RAF combination (which also never adorned my wardrobe until my first Revival, thanks eBay!) which seems to fit in nicely with proceedings.

We've been to the last 5, it's a spectular event, and a very unique atmosphere compared to anything else on the motoring calendar, I always enjoy it (including the dressing up bit) I even have a lovely vintage Fedora!

Above all the racing is spectacular, no where else will you see a grid of Ferrari 250's!

I think we need to see some pictures of SES members at this event dressed in the correct attire!!!!

I've not been for years, but think I might book up for 2017 as it is an amazing event.

As said above, it's very different to anything else I have ever been to.

It has been a total failure to clear space in my calendar, rather than promising to go and then cancelling at the last minute, so I still don't think I've reached your level yet. :D

I keep saying I will go in my other car when the restoration is complete (1962 BMW Isetta bubble car), 10 years and still waiting! It really should be on the road this year though...
