Quattro S1E2 Replica

Just spotted this over on Speedhunters and thought it was pretty cool, so I thought I'd post it up. Its a replica S1E2 quattro...

...which isn't anything new, but peeping underneath reveals a familiar looking sight...

...newage Impreza running gear and floor pan! Cut up (for a shorter wheelbase) and with a heavily chopped Audi 80 GT body dropped on top...

...all the Subaru suspension points have been retained...

...but the EJ20 removed and the "proper" Audi engine fitted instead:

Possibly not everyones cup of tea, but I thought it was a great bit of engineering and a convincing looking replica: guessing it works out a bit cheaper than a real S1E2 as well! ;)

I've seen a couple of those in the metal. I'm not personally a fan as the fact the engine is still in the front means that the car sits rather high: still very clever engineering though!
