Looking good steve. One of the nicest bug's around. :ok:Oh and yes, SPOILER!!. Either a lip, or STi one. There is no middle ground!
|
About time Steve, loving the new grills, really work well with the car.
|
Likeing the new grill's mate. Nice car & has served you well. :drive:
|
Looking good as always Steve, and yes get rid of the table top and stick something big in its place, keep up the hard work buddy, grills look very good and suit the car.:ok::ok:
|
cheers guys, managed to pick the grilles up off a guy on scoobynet, can't believe that the black ones are over £200 for the pair new :| but really pleased with how the look when fitted. thought about getting silver ones but it would just look way too bling ;)
not surprised about the rear wing comments from everyone either  can't decide what to do though. i quite like the spoilerless with lip idea, but i'll need to find another bootlid or get holes filled and repainted so its hassles. Easiest bet would be just to drill more holes and put and STI wing on it, but they're not cheap (especially once painted). And when one crops up in WR Blue, the whole world seems to be competing to buy it (not that WR blue is common - its popular!) :D |
Looking good Steve.....like the front grilles, might have to get a lower one in black myself:doubleup:
|

It's looking better all the time
|
Saj has got two in WR Blue at the mo I think.
|

Nope, the current spare scooby cash is going to fund (the other) Nick's fmic, in return for his STI tmic and undertray. |
latest additions:
STI7 bigger scoop (all the way from Scotland...) http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ofIMG_1351.jpg And an STI top mount (all the way from Littlehampton  ) http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ofIMG_1344.jpg Still using the wrx undertray at the moment but the STI one will be on the car once its removed from Nicks :) |
It's really good to see the chronological changes to the car mate.
It shows just how much of a good job you have done to it. Top job matey :10: :10: |

Coming along well Steve, good job buddy:ok:
|
Looks really good mate :-)
|
so this is the latest change :D
picked up a bootlid in the same colour this morning and fitted it this afternoon. was a bit dark in the photos as didnt finish until about 4:30pm but you get the idea. not as many spoilerless newages around as classics, so its something different. http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...p/Img_3848.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...p/Img_3854.jpg http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...p/Img_3856.jpg Will be back on its 18"s soon. |
Picked up from FMP Chichester?
I was bidding on that you bugger! Shame I didn't know could have saved you a few quid by not bidding! |
very very smart mate
|
Quote:
yes, it was from FMP. Never thought you would have been after it, its the wrong colour for you! :p |
Cars lookin good mate i like spoilerless bugs. Although im not a fan of morettes. The lights on this guys car looks best on bug eyes imo - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1485075
|
I like it. Wheres your black wheels though? Would look the nuts with them back on.
|
I do like the look of the Inovite Torque's:) whats the ET on them?
|
the inovit torques are still in the garage. put the old wheels on over winter because i have to use the car in the snow/ice and don't want to risk curbing the 18"s!
once we know theres no more snow coming, they'll be back :D LJF - they are ET42 i think. |
They are some lovely wheels mate i dont blame you for not using them;)
|
thought you wanted an sti spoiler? so this is a surprise! I do think scoobs should have a spoiler though i'm afraid....and i wonder what the handling might be at 'speed' without it!

Nut a Spec D spoiler would look the nuts! |

i actually quite like it (i wasn't sure all along if i'm honest, i only decided once it was all fitted that i think it looks ok!). The idea in my mind was always that if i didn't like it, i'd drill one of the bootlids for a big spoiler (not necessarily an STI one). With regards to downforce, i took it for a quick run yesterday and couldn't tell the difference. Haven't thrown it into any corners at high speed but don't think the wrx spoiler exactly did much in that sense in the first place :D |

Gotta say Steve, I think it looks really nice, better than with the low level spoiler.
|
Think you were the just before me Steve - I bought his Zero 2E's and picked them up Sat. Looks good!
|

Not sure if i'll keep it like that forever or not. I'm considering the one in this thread if i change my mind: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/859457-adju...spoiler-2.html Although i'd probably have the blade carbon wrapped. |

Saw the Cusco's in the garage, glad i only took the cash for the bootlid to be honest! Would have been skint otherwise :D |

Only time i noticed a difference on the RA was braking from 120mph plus

Great chronology and development of your car.:10:
Jura |
Bit of an update.... now have a second bumper (thanks to Jura) with side spats and diffuser to go on :D
If anyones fancies giving me a hand over the weekend fitting the bumper, it'd be handy as its a two man job to get it lined up. I can supply tea and biscuits as a reward! Longer term, not sure if the spoilerless look will stay or not..... indecisive as always! ;) |

Hi Steve i'm looking forward to see bumper fitted, and i think will very good with rear spoiler. But depends which one you are prefer,i personally prefer spoiler. Good luck:doubleup: Jura |
