car going in !

Well my scooby is gonna have a busy week next week!
Weds it goes to Whitstable for Timing Belt kit Change by main dealer, then Wed night it gets dropped off at D&A Customs In Sittingbourne to have the following resprayed:
Front Bumper
Rear Bumper
Rear driver side door
Boot lid
Fog light covers
Wing mirrors

Drew and Aaron have offered a fantastic price to completely respray all the above in standard 02c Mica blue.

Should get car back sunday 4th, which give me a week to add as many layers of wax as possible ready for the Mickeys Diner and Leysdown Meet on Sunday 11th May :-)

Can't wait !

Wallet taking a bashing but be worth it.

Next month get the wheels refurbed at Lepsons, and then outside cosmetically its mint !

Nice mate, looking in forward to seeing the end result.

MSR2012 26-04-2014 08:41 PM

You're letting a main dealer do cambelt? Surely not the one in Canterbury??

Rdlangy1 26-04-2014 09:07 PM

Yeah - uve got me worried now!

scotty 26-04-2014 09:20 PM

That's a bad choice would never take it to the dealer in Canterbury mate I went there to get a quote for cambelt supplied and fitted I laughed when they told me price and never went back .

Well i have the kit - bought from Alyn on here (as performance) and they have quoted £225 to fit the whole lot inc vat which I didn't think was too bad..

Got the pm mate - really appreciate the feedback.

Must admit am a bit worries now as I have Wednesday all planned out.

Matt the guy at land rover - what did he charge for ur timing kit etc?

Thanks for all the feedback so far

Rdlangy1 28-04-2014 12:30 PM

Just a little update - Great deal of thanks to Matt (MSR2012) and Scotty above.

Car is now booked in with Landrover Solutions - didn't get to speak to Mark, but still a very helpful company - and saved me a little on the price aswell :-)

Feel more comfortable that the car is going to someone who will do the job properly and who has experience of other members cars.

Have a feeling in the coming months I'll be spending alot of money with these guys :-)

Thanks again for all the help!

Ryan

Well got car back from D & A Customs (Drew and Aaron) tonight and gotta say - what a fantastic job!

The guys have worked tirelessly and there work is second to none!

Can't fault the paintwork and the finish is flat and crisp!

The colour matching is spot on and the panel work to remove dents etc is amazing!

Can't big these guys up enough - the Mondeo goes in on 22nd may and then the Scooby will go back in before the year is out for roof, bonnet, doors and under sealing.

Their prices are fantastic and the have a real passion for cars which shows in their work.

If anybody needs anything reapraying or bodywork then these two guys from Iwade are ur men!

Cheers gents!!!!
Rear bumper and boot fully resprayed!

I would do but all of my cash is tied up in a house renovation project and a new baby at the moment! Managed to spare enough for the Ring trip and to fix the brakes on the scoob but paint will have to wait :(
