Now if i can not decide on something for the car i like to get other people's comments,this is now the case with my wheels the car has it's standard 16" but have been offered a set of these at a very good price with nearly new tyres

Now do i go for it as they are 17" don't think they look to bad on a classic but still not sure so fire away with what you think.

classic look good with these but dont for get you will need 215's not 225's or your arche's will scrub :doubleup:

Good point Cath i do like them but the more i look the more i like the standard wheels and i realy want st-2's so may be i will hang on to my money and wait a while.

how much are the others going for out of curiosity due to the fact im selling mine soon. exactly the same but have a little kerb damage?! (from the :wife: )

The were up for £150 but have seen two other sets go on e-bay for £80-£100 after i found them.

Found these now 7jx18 et51 running 225/40's said they came off a classic but asking the people in the know if with that offset will they clear the 4-pots ok

if they came off a classic they must be the correct PCD. Do you know what year classic
I expect they will clear the four-pots looking at the spoke design

it's not just the offset that will effect it but the thickness/depth of the spokes.

ET51 should be fine, mine are ET51

the only comment would be that the 40 section is too tall, you need 35's on 18's When your speedo reads 60mph you will actually be doing 62.5mph
with 35's When your speedo reads 60mph you will actually be doing 60.2mph

there may also be arch clearanceissues on the 40's

Thanks Scott he did say in his e-mail now i have looked at it again that they had been on a 52 plate as well so it would of had 4-pots :doh: How much do they rub with the 40 profile,the other worry is at standard ride height will they make it look like a monster truck.

I ran mine without lowering for quie a while.
All the images of my wheels I posted on your thread were before I lowered.
