polisher

I am after a CHEAP car polishing machine or better still a drill attachment.

Dont worry I promise I wont touch my car with it!

Its for a transit camper van and the paint has gone really flat.

It might be abit like polishing a turd but the paint does need some help.

Not cheap but would suggest:

1: if your not used to machine polishing Dual action polishers

2: Better results can be had (quicker) but easier to damage if careless:ok:
Rotary polisher

I've got the DAS 6 dual action, got the Sonus kit with it and its very very good, also now got the Menzerna cut/ polish and works exceptionaly well...

To buy the rotary on its own is good value but you need to add the price of pads etc etc so it soon goes up:polish:

As admin said fella the cheapest decent one is the das 6, i wouldnt bother with anything from halfords as you might as well do it by hand.

I have got the DAS-6 Pro, it is a very good machine!! The silverline rotary's are meant to be good for the money http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polish...er/cat_73.html

Thats the one i got to replace my g220, havent used it much though been abit scared of burning through the paint, but hopefully thatll change this year, the advantage with the orbitals is that you cant really damage the paint beyond repair, but with a rotary you can literally go down to the metal in seconds :-(

Especially on edges, takes concentration and not too fast a speed.
