Knight Rider Detail

My mate gave me a call asking to do his kitt replica so me and chunk to a trip down there and after a play with the car and a talk with jodie the cars owner i cracked on. The weather wasnt great but the marquee was in the car if the rain got too heavy, luckly it stopped 10mins after the snow foam.

Heres some before pics

So it was out with the snow foam and maxi suds II and kit was given a massive dose of snow foam. You can really see it working espically in the tyre pic

Kitt was then rinsed and washed with Meguairs next gen shampoo. It was then clayed and washed and rinsed again but because of the weather i didnt take any more pics and decided to crack on with the car, you can allready see kitt looks alot better even with just a clay and a wash.

After a final rinse it was then dried with sonus der wunder drying towel. It was then given a layer of meguairs deep crystal polish left to dry then buffed off. Then a layer of petes 53 wax, whilst that was hazing i derssed the tyres with meguairs endurance gloss and the windows with meguairs fast glass. Then i buffed off the petes 53 then applyed another layer, whilst that was hazing i polished the metal with autoglym metal polish. Then finally buffed off the wax. Typically the weather decided to clear up just in time for the final pics.

I think kitt turned out really well, shame about the weather but in a way it helped with the wax and polish because it didnt bake, it was a really easy car to work on and the end result looked stunning.
