absolutely genius
factual information with a well placed insult, all wrapped up in one excellent guide! |
Christ isn't there an easier way to get pics up. Just looked at spookys idiots guide to load up. Far to complicated for me. Looks like I will have to do without.:brickwall:

To be fair, the above could do with an update as its 5 years old and the user interface has changed. Photobucket is free and pretty simple. You'll get used to it :ok:

2017 update:
1. https://imgbb.com/ 2. Click "Start Uploading" in the centre of the screen 3. Drag 'n' drop image onto browser 4. Change dropdown to "BBCode medium linked" 5. Copy code into reply 6. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. |
Nice one :) I've binned the original post as it was from 2010, and the images were broken anyway.

If you have your pics on Google Photos (https://photos.google.com), you can post them directly to the forum like so:-
1) Find your pic in Google Photos, click the share button and "Get Link". It will look something like this https://photos.app.goo.gl/ck3kzSq5jxM9iYVd6 2) Go to https://ctrlq.org/google/photos/ and paste your link into the box and click "Generate Code" 3) Copy the "Direct Link" URL. It will look like this https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/sA...P6ljZ-FI=w2400 4) Click "Insert Image" on your post and paste the link. 5) Adjust the number on the end of the url to set the size. My example above ended in 2400 which is a huge image. Set it to something like 400 or 640 to resize it to a more sensible size https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/sA...FP6ljZ-FI=w400 |
Imgur is also a good option but doesn’t allow you to resize uploads in the iPhone app but will online.

I've been using Flikr, although the app doesn't give you the BB code, loading the website in non mobile mode on your phone does. Still a compromise though.
