Mini Cooper
Friend asked if I would have a clean up of his sisters mini cooper on Saturday.
Lots of road grime, and traffic film, especially on the white wheels. Bodywork had lots of scratches, particularly a large one by the fuel filler cap, and various swirl marks all over. Lots of rust bubbles, and dents, and even nail varnished deep scratches to be careful of. Not perfect by any means, but here are a few before and after shots... However if you want it done properly speak to Ron - he is the master of all such things on here :ok: Im mearly someone who has a go and gets OK results :ok: |
Good effort!
What machine polisher have you got? I'm thinking about investing as the results seem worth it and I'm keen to learn how to use one. |

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polish...prod_1797.html DA220 I think mine is... Lots out there - but as a beginner I would go DA rather than orbital as it has less chance of you muffing the paintwork... Menzerna compounds are very good IMO for someone of my relative little knowledge... Ron (pieman) might be able to give more advice :ok: |
Thanks. I've been looking at a Poorboys DA. Looks very similar to the one in your link in terms of facts and figures. :ok:
I'd concluded a DA was for me, so good to hear I wasn't just being paranoid. :) I've picked Ron's brains a few times... very helpful and makes you realise how much there is to know! |
Good results mate, the effort of working on a darker colour car can reap great results, as your have shown!
