Gonna have to bite the bullet :-(

Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and fork out for some new brakes all round :-( when I got the car I knew the discs were low so I knew they would be a problem in the future, anyway recently they've started making the usual replacement noises so I've started looking into it.

I'm tempted just to replace them them with standard ones but also been looking into some up rated ones too, I've gone for the ebc ones in the past and they've served me well so tempted to go for them again.

Anyone got any thoughts?

It's a 03 WRX STI Type uk :-)

Read this thread, great prices on DBA discs.

Then just add some decent pads from Alyn or Bob.

Exactly what I done with pf pads. A short run out today and they feel better then stock already and not even fully bedded in yet.

Hi Andy,

There are so many options available to you that it would be best to give us a call to discuss your requirements and we'll save you some cash. :)

Brake's need not cost an arm and a leg, for example we can supply discs and fast road pads for just £179.99 all round.

Under our price promise we match/beat competitor package deals, so if you see a package deal elsewhere that you like the look of just give us a call and we'll take care of you

You may get a good discs but you must have best pads you can afford. I would go just for the brembos and ferodo / cl brakes. Whats the use of your car, street, track?

AndyWRX 19-07-2012 01:40 PM

Gonna be for road use and maby the odd track day possibly, just getting standard ones all round for the time being then might upgrade the pads in the future depending on how things go :-)

generally speaking as long as you use a decent quality disc (not far east rubbish) then the most important part is to use the correct pad..............
