2004 sti with Prodrive gt1 wheels

Hi all I recently fitted prodrive gt1 gold wheels to my 2004 blobeye sti.
Was told that would fit over the brembo calipers. But they didn't.
Know got them sitting on 8mm spacers so wondered did anyone else have this issue with these wheels and do you think 8mm will be safe with the standard hub nuts and aftermarket wheel lug nuts.

Who ever told you they fit over brembos was talking utter garbage and never seen them in gold so they must have been redone as only come in anthrite nice wheels had them on my classic .

Not sure that's 100% mate.... ;)

I think there are two versions of the Prodrive GT1 alloys - there was a 5x100 version (which came as standard on the GB270, for example) which was 7.5J ET53 - these won't fit over brembos. As you've got a 2004 blob its gonna be 5x100 so I guess this is what you have.

But they also came in 5x114.3 which I guess was 8J (and maybe a different offset) as they were fitted on the RB320 which cleared Brembos fine.

Oh, and you can still get them. In gold too....

Those ones are called Prodrive Gt2 alloys the ones that fit over brembos dont know why the called them gt2 as they are the exact same wheel just bigger lol .

GT2 was a different wheel design, from the later hatches:

I think there were two offsets.

This came up on a Forester forum about a year ago. ET48 and ET53 from memory. The former clears Brembos to my recollection.

Health warning - my memory is good, but my understanding of offset is poor, so I'll have remembered what I understood at the time, but that could have been wrong!

Ah fecking confusing as every time i put gt2 alloys it came up with different pic but on the pro r website they are correct with above pic .
