Sj4000

HI All,

finally got to test my two SJ4000 cams today, and gotta say im a little disappointed - the pic appears really grainy...

Ive checked the settings and think they are correct - I even purchased the cams from two different sellers (amazon & Eachbuyer) incase one was a bit dodgy.

Ive read somewhere about the latest firmware causing graining issues - anyone else have this or have any ideas as to what I can try?

Ryan

OK - ive just looked on www.sjcam.com - and seen there was an even newer firmware - DO NOT DO IT !!!

Now the "OK" button on top used to start and stop videos e.t.c. doesn't work!!! Instead that function in on the down arrow button ?!?!?!?!?

I have emailed support - although its in China!

:ok:

Im with you on this thought i give the sj the benefit of the doubt..as it had quite a few good reviews.. what a crock of ****.. sometimes its best to just spend the money on the originals i think

Seems hit and miss as to whether they are good or bad - spent all pm trying look for solutions...

Samuel's is fine unless you hit the zoom button by mistake.
Check your not using that as it's a pretty pointless feature tbh.

No zoom on here :ok: - yeah as said think hit and miss as some are cracking vids....

Mine are just really pixelated :-(

Have you tried running at 30fps as 60fps is too much for alot of PC's.
30fps is ample as long as you don't plan to shoot any HD slow motion.
Oliver's PC hates 60fps shot from his Sony Action Camera.

Just flicked through some of Samuel's video from his Eachbuyer SJ4000 from the recent holiday, and I can't complain at any of it.
All good quality, even some shot in darkness (down a slate mine), low light and underwater.

Oliver also used the audio from it, for the Horseshoe Pass video, as it was better than his Sony.

I had an SJ5000 WiFi for £90 and was great until I lost it.

You have to be really carefull as there is so many fake action cameras laballed as SJ Cams.

The SJ5000 has an upgraded image sensor & adapts to lighting changes a lot quicker.

Also, the SJ4000 can not record true 60fps as its 30fps doubled... pointless.

Watch all the Vids from this guy hes a bit of an expert on chinese action cams...
