New lad
Heyup everyone!
New to the forum and new to owning a Subaru! picked myself up a 2005 Forester XT with a couple of bits done to it. So far love the way it runs and drives! A bit different to everything i've had previously! Not sure i'm going to be a fan of filling it up a bit regular though...we'll see. Needs a NS/R wheel bearing done, and I've heard some pretty shocking horror stories! Does anyone know of anyone in the Brighton/Shoreham area that would be able to do the work? The hum is getting on my nerves :-| Look forward to getting involved! |
Welcome aboard
As for a wheel bearing this should be a fairly easy fix and any decent garage should have no issues replacing it. But if you want a specialist I have heard good things about this place http://www.slowboy-racing.co.uk/ |
Thanks for that! I'll certainly keep him in mind. After asking here, I had a quick search through the forum and found John and Stuarts place - East Sussex Mobile Services. Giving them a go next week! :ok:

East Sussex Mobile always get good feedback. Alternatively SMD in Newhaven are good guys with scoobs :)

Cheers for the replies guys! Always nice to know of a couple of good places to trust!

Welcome to SES!
I have used SMD in the past for quite a few jobs, would always recommend Brent and the guys down there, East Sussex Mobile Services are very highly regarded by many here too. |
Hi and welcome to SES. Can not recommend SMD at Newhaven enough. I even came over from France for them to do some work on my new STI.

:welcome: to SES..:five:

Hello and :welcome: to SES :-) As above, SMD in Newhaven would be my first port of call followed by East Sussex Mobile who are also exceptional.

Hello and welcome .

Thanks for all the welcomes! Having the chaps from East Sussex mobile having a look at it Monday. I'm sure I'll have good things to say soon as well!
Just completed 350 mile trip to Durham from Brighton (last night) car drove just fab! Aside from the aforementioned wheel bearing hum! Taking it steady, managed to do it all on one tank with plenty of fuel left to bumble about with. Has eased my mind about the fuel consumption of these things. I can bear the short trip bad mpg, but filling up on the motorway is a Bug bear of mine! Great stuff! |
Just wanted to update - had Stuart have a look over the Foz and replace the wheel bearing. He was fast, efficient and carried out all the little bits that need to doing to keep these things in good nick. Top work.
