1st SES Meeting of 2010

The 1st meeting of the year will be on

Sunday 24th January 12.00 hrs at Dunnings Mill, East Grinstead.

http://www.theolddunningsmill.co.uk/...t/pubinfo.html

By popular request this is the 1st meeting on a Sunday.
So hopefully everyone that voted for a Sunday meeting will turn up.( no pressure)

In the past people have said that there is not a children's menu. I have spoken to the pub on this subject, and they have told me that children can eat a half portion of what ever is on the main menu at half price.

So weather permitting and even if its not,the car park will be full up with scooby 4x4s.

Chunk 07-01-2010 11:40 AM

Might bring the Kompressor along with Emma's scoob :norty:

Trace there must be some thing you can eat the menu is fairly comprehensive.

You could always bring sandwiches and a flask of soup or dont you eat those??

You dont have to eat, the town centre is just down the road that has alternative catering.

Steve_PPP 07-01-2010 12:59 PM

expect we'll be there, really nice pub and i thought the food was very good

Crowman 07-01-2010 01:40 PM

Ian
There is not food that is any good for kids even half portions.
I am not saying you need to change location just think we need to make people aware its not really any good for family meet.
Shame they cant do kids stuff, soss and chips that sort of thing.
See you there

DukeBoy 07-01-2010 01:44 PM

See you all there

worzel 07-01-2010 01:57 PM

I'll be there for sure.

Sunday roast with my name all over it.

Scooby Wez 07-01-2010 03:34 PM

Sunday nice one Ian should be there but will not be eating.Ham and chips at a £10 and sandwiches at £5.50 seam a bit steep to me so will go with the flask of soup :yeah:

Anger 07-01-2010 04:16 PM

The day before i go to Malaysia... but still might pop down :drive:

I have spoken to them today and all childrens meals are £5.95.
The food is good quality and if it wasnt we would not be there, I do agree it could be a little cheaper.

I have said many times before, please if anyone has any sugestions I am more than willing to consider alternatives.

666subaru 07-01-2010 04:45 PM

We will be there for a drink maybe? dont know which car though:whistle:

The-Fly 07-01-2010 05:42 PM

Hi All. Will try my best to bring the misses & son along, if not I'll try and sneak out the back door, LOL.

Greig 07-01-2010 06:29 PM

Should be able to make this, Will have to bring the van tho:doh:

Scott.T 07-01-2010 08:07 PM

Oliver had this as a 1/2 price kids meal and it was huge :
The Old Mill beef burger topped with bacon....

They also do chips and skinny fries......surley thats all kids want

Instead of moaning maybe people should suggest an alternative as ian and myself are really struggling to find a location...we only know whats local to us, so if anything is in your region then you 'really' need to tell us.

Scooby Wez 07-01-2010 08:39 PM

I was not putting down the venue it looks realy good.I have not had food at any of the places we have had meets just think pub food is always over priced. There are some nice pubs up round the brands hatch area with large car parks we used to have bike club meets up there i will find out the names of the best ones if you want :-P

Greig 07-01-2010 09:16 PM

The Dorset Arms in East Grinstead has just had a refurb, It's quite nice in there now, Food's not bad and it has a big car park at the rear. Would proberbly have to check to see if they would be pleased to have a car park full of noisy cars tho?

Anway, great job the events orginisers are doing, i am sure its a bit of a mission to try and organise such meets. Thanks:yeah:

I was'nt generaly moaning, its just we took 2 of our children to a meet at Dunnings last year, not only was it quite expensive for a family of 4 to eat but the menu did'nt have suitable meals for children, not all children like chips.. So we left the meet to go elsewhere to eat then came back..

SpecB 07-01-2010 10:14 PM

I'll be there along with Sian and possibly mini Sian(s)

AndyWRX 08-01-2010 09:58 AM
