How long does sorn last?

Hi do you have to renew a sorn every year like tax or does it carry on to the next year?

yes needs to be renewed every year just like tax. I think you will get a licence reminder as normal and the is an option to keep the vehicle sorn on there

It does only last a year and sometimes reminders are not sent by the DVLA (although I'm sure they're supposed to) The onus is on the registered keeper to ensure it does not expire or they will fine you.
